Okay, I love language and word play, but idioms? I really can't stand them. So, I thought it might be fun for people to post their least favorite example of one.
Mine?

Let's make sure that we are on same page.
Had manager who always used this expression. Could bet money that it would turn up at least once in weekly conference calls.

"I could care less."
Uh... then go ahead and decrease your level of caring? I, on the other hand, won't, because I couldn't care less.

"significant other"
Translating it literally ... well... I don't know ... Others are also significant (important) to me, too.

Sweating like a pig.
My father uses this and it makes no sense. Pigs don't sweat so compare yourself to something that does!

"No skin off my nose." Because it sounds painful, or like someone has a sunburn.
There are also variants including "off my back" and "off my shoulders."
