I've noticed that when interacting with others I really can't help but be something of a prankster. Probably goes hand in hand with sarcastic tendencies, and it does tend to get me in trouble at times. Does anyone else have this tendency, and does it sometimes cause problems for you as well?
yes, I'm myself kind of a bada*s. People tend to hate me for being too judgemental and for my 'feelinglessness' and teachers for disregarding authority and rules.
Definately rebellious.
Never really had mischevious tendencies till recently (as I got a little more E for social purposes).

constantly rebellious, to the point where i idolise real rebels such as Che, Castro, the OPM, tamil tigers. anyone seeking independence has my complete support, no matter where i might financially end up. i am not sure what you mean by mischevious though. evil maybe, with strong undertones of philanthropy (the self serving kind)

When I was about 10 to 12 I was quite "rebellious", mostly because I was stressed out and unhappy. Afterwards I wasn't particularly rebellious, though my ENTP mother would perceive me as such if I didn't go along with what she wanted me to do. As for mischievous, I've always been so, half the time unintentionally. When I was four I decided that my father's contact lenses would make for good bowls for my doll, and then put them back, filling my dad's contact lens case with water (I figured the clear fluid in there must be water). That did not go over so well.

wasn't rebellious until lately oddly enough. Only to authority figures I don't have respect towards in certain conditions. Depends on the situation, too. And if I feel I know more than the authority figure in question.
always been a bit mischievous.

I'm not rebellious at all (I think that's why my parents never really gave me any rules growing up), but I do enjoy being mischievous. I'm pretty good at silently sidling up to people and scaring the crap out of them when they finally notice I'm there at work.

I get mischievous for fun though, not as in seriously making trouble. Just saying some things that tread lightly on the edges of people's limits, just for laughs.

Oh it's all for fun for me :)

I do easilly fill myself with hatred towards just about everyone that is some sort of servant or act like one, atleast in stupid mmorpgs and forums. I don't really act it out tough...well some.

Yeah the pattern here is simple: they want people to never question authority, and abide by sometimes retarded rules. Who are they to tell one person that doing whatever is wrong?; sure it could be wrong to them, but who decides whats right?, who says they're so much better than me that they can boss me around?.
I had this problem since I was about 9, then I more or less got over it at 18

Not rebellious per say. Instead, I like to learn the rules, find the loopholes and abuse the crap out of them.
I love rules. They're so easy to manipulate!

I think people too often confuse sarcasm with just being a smart-ass. Sarcasm is just stating contrary to the obvious. Smart-ass-ism is an art form.
To get back on topic, I wouldn't say Im rebellious. I just like to think for myself.
Mischievous? Oh Hell yeah. ;D

I have the same reputation, I recall my friend once saying this while we where watching Tombstone: "I think you'd make a good cowboy." "..Uh, why?" "Because you can look like you really will kill somebody." And my brother was once annoying me one time to many. I gave him the receding death-glare and he backed up, slightly wide-eyed and retorted: " Whoa, you know you have a..presence to you, it's scary."
And I sware when someone gets the gull to ask me something in public they almost seem shocked that my voice is'nt dripping with malice.....at the time.
It comes with the job; both our gift and curse.

Not rebellious, I like to understand the system and then toy with it my way. :devilish: No illusions whatsoever about the system. Some people call me a nihilist for that reason.
Misschievous: I have my days.

I don't think of myself as rebellious or mischievous, but I notice I do like to push the envelope. Use words that are slightly too risque for polite conversation, say things that could be construed as insulting to people in authority positions, etc. Just to see what I can get away with.
I'm not rebellious at all (I think that's why my parents never really gave me any rules growing up), but I do enjoy being mischievous. I'm pretty good at silently sidling up to people and scaring the crap out of them when they finally notice I'm there at work.
This is definitely me. I love to do exactly that at work. I'll walk up to somebody from an angle behind them and stand awkwardly close until they realize i'm there. I love watching people jump.
I also wasn't "rebellious" growing up, so my parents didn't see the need to confine me with many rules. I never had a curfew, for example.
I do have a disregard for rules and authority, though i wouldn't classify it as rebelliousness. I just see the rules and decide which ones i agree with. If i disagree with a rule i either disregard it (as long as it's one i can get away with) or i outright protest it, if i think it's unjust. I live by my own set of rules. In some ways they're more strict than those imposed by others.
Instead of being rebellious, i do exhibit the "mule syndrome" somebody had mentioned in another thread. If an authority figure is hounding me to do something, i actually procrastinate worse than i would have ordinarily, just because i resent hovering, haha.

I've never really referred to the way I act as "rebellious" although it is perceived as such by others. I have no problem with rules. Without rules there is no order. However, I tend to make my own and have a complete disregard for anybody else's. I do not attempt to take down any sort of system. I do not break rules simply to break them. They are simply not MY rules.
As far as mischief goes, I've been known to play some sadistic mind games. Nothing more fun than an intellectual challenge, right? And, of course, no intellectual challenge is more challenging than a challenge that can think and adapt. Think of it as "The Most Dangerous Game" except with minds.
