View Full Version : I get along with INTJs better.

I'm serious, most if not every single one of my good friends that have lasted are INTJs.

I simply work with them better, relate to them better, and find that they actually have the same code of ethics I do with most things, I am wondering if this is because my J is high, but I am really an INTP.

Does anyone feel the same way? I know I can trust my closest friend to back me up and not screw me over, he's very honorable and I appreciate that in INTJs.

Even if this seems to be so, there are times they take stuff too far and are just simply "too" into whatever they are interested at the time, I can do that but they can sustain it for a long long time, I get bored around them at times, however, their loyalty as friends outweighs all of that.

Does loyalty outweigh such for you?

Thanks for the ego boost.

However, this is just a thought,
we understand each other's "boringness." Especially if we're into the same subject.

loyalty's always a plus though.

I can stake a claim here, yes thanx for the ego J boost. But the difference of the "J" and "P" is that the J's love closure to a certain point [it does not mean, we can't referred back to it], as for the P's the ideas just flow, off tangent [gets lost in their own thought], passion to learn is high, endless thoughts, and loves to jump around and mess you up for fun. Yeah, there are boring parts, but why should we talk about that when we're having fun; seriously. Glad to have you on board Aven; please don't mind the "J's" speak our mind.

Overall, I can related with others besides INTJ's; mastering the E side is kinda difficult, but I managed. Some people think, I am more an extrovert, if you are an expert in a certain area.

I'm not sure if I get along with INTs specifically better, but I seem to get along best with INxx, as long as it's one step away from INTP. The one INFJ I know drains me whenever I talk to him, and he ignores anything I say that he doesn't already agree with. Thus far I'm having more fun on this forum than INTP Central, though. I wonder why?

I'm taking a educated guess at this one. The reason why INFJ drain you is that, INFJ talk and you listen. Then, you start talking, not at the sametime when INFJ is talking. As for INTP, because we love to explore into different areas and other things; no limits.

As an INTJ I can say that in highschool my best friend was an INTP and we are very loyal! there were times he got board with me not moving to the next idea so fast and others when I got annoyed with him not staying on an idea long eough to see it all the way through... and oddly eough this was often at the same time, wait thats not so odd. Obviously it was my 'J' and his 'P' that caused that, but we never let it stand in our way.

hahaha this (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.) one made me laugh

"COMPATIBILITY: INTPs make ideal companions to INTJs, as neither of them notices they're in a relationship."

"COMPATIBILITY: Silly person, INTJs don't have relationships! They may, however build their own friends."

i'm having this funny idea of how to connect the two.

Both sides, jokes around with each other to no end, in the end become better friends and not as relationship partners.

Although, no one in my class is apparently INTJ's, but J is in the 4 letters. I know the frustration my fellow classmates with my professor. I suggested here, there is thing called a "blog," its a very nice place for circumventing your frustration, anger, etc. Just make sure, its not threats or red flags will pop up. For me, I don't close the line between red flags and frustration. Its hard to get around the big fork in the road, but there are 2 direction you can go. Place the game of the chance and take it or feel frustrated forever.........

I enjoy other INTJs. I think I can recognize them, and being a little more extroverted than most, I try to bring them out of their shell. Normally, I try to investigate what makes them tick, as I know I like to think about what makes me tick.
Usually, I'll ask them questions until I hit on a topic we both know and then explore that idea with them. I love to work with INTJs, because we're all very task oriented.
I also make sure they know I'm not trying to be threat or bully to them. I know we're a very cautious sort and select our friends wisely.

You know,"Normally, I try to investigate what makes them tick, as I know I like to think about what makes me tick." My suggestion to this comment is think it through before opening the mystery door. Pick the wrong door, then you opened the INTJ world of information spam. Probably getting loads of e-mails, messages, etc. awaiting for ya. :)

After a reading of INTP Central, I realized why it is I like this forum better.

INTP Central has almost as much of the rampant flirting and favoritism and insulting and semi-drama as other forums do. Maybe it's a product of it being a large forum, but I have a hard time imagining much drama here. There's a bit of elitism here too, of course, but it's not nearly as vicious somehow. :P

Ehmmmm.. Should I be so bold as to suggest that its because theres more guys on this forum, given there's more male INTJ's than women? :-X (Only 1 in 200 women makes the grade... :-X) )

Not to mention the number of posting female INTJs is pretty high. On one of my forums drama was only escalated because there were so few females. :P

I think *********** is an example of the tortured becoming the torturers.

I like the company here on INTJ forum much better. INTJs seem to have much better self-esteem in general, and it's good for this particular INTP to learn from examples of people that value their own worth and can address ideas (rather than personalities) with enthusiasm.

So would that mean INTJ males, is considered rare, then? Since, more female INTJ posting is at all time high.

That's just it. Here, the emphasis is on the exchange of ideas, theories, "humor" than it is to impress or surpress.

Introverted females are the civilizing force of our society...:-)

I get along with INTJs better as well... but it's because I love INXX people. Give me someone, anyone who is capable of understanding theorical and abstract concepts, and who isn't bothered by my extreme anti-social nature; and you'll make me a happy man.
