I had a somewhat humorous thought. Do INTJ forums represent an exercise in futility? In that forums are social areas and INTJs aren't fond of revisiting thoughts that have already been discussed (and then discarded or accepted in their minds as "fact").
Does an INTJ forum eventually turn into a newbie asking a question, and then a bunch of responses linking to previous posts on the topic?? :)
Just curious....

I don't know about the other INTJ's here, but I would search for a topic first, to make sure it hasn't already been discussed.
But yeah, I would probably be one of those who would reply with a link :P

Ditto
At a certain point the amount of information will however become a problem. For instance, some threads are already pretty lengthy. If I was a newby I would perhaps not read such threads because it takes too long. In such a case a thread-based search or post-rating system could bring some relief.

I think most INTJ's will happily read through as much information as possible, so pages and pages of threads tends to be an opportunity to soak up new data on a particular issue.

Im yet to see one response like that so far. And i do read on several forums which get alot of those kind of responses.
This forum is alot different to other ones I read however.

Everyone needs the connection of others. We do this better in a virtual setting (phones over driving to meet, etc) and can be ourselves in a forum that laughs instead of villifies a typiclaly smart-ass answer. I bite my tongue often when in crowds where "brain death surrounds me" but, here, I can say it if it fits :D

I agree.
I joined a couple of others before I found this one, now I pretty much stay here. Seems that this one stays true to itself, in the sense that even the most vehement disagreements remain dispassionate. I've seen other sites where the arguments between so-called INTJs degenerate quickly into name-calling.
