Would somebody be so lovely as to explain to myself why my avatar has been removed? It's 115x145, there are no transparencies, its only 9kb, no boarders, no animation and no text... I'm rather attached to the image so i would like to fix whatever it is that's not so kosher...

Sure. We find the avatar to be way too low in quality. I do not believe there is any way that you could salvage that particular graphic; I would instead suggest that you select an avatar from the avatar gallery (http://intjforum.com/profile.php?do=editavatar) if you're having difficulty producing something.
Because we only rarely need to go so far as to remove avatars for being too graphically crappy, and because the decision to do so can depend heavily upon both the individual image and the context of usage (genuine interest vs troll campaign, for example), there is no inescapably complicated mention of the potential perils of the 'scribble in MS Paint' approach or its analogues in the guidelines at the moment. Although that may find its way into a tutorial at some point.

It's no where near a "scribble" and i don't understand how when choosing an avatar to represent my self it could be denied for being too "Basic" and "crappy" especially considoring it was much more complex and i simplified it to fit my tastes...
You're awfully rude.
