Is there anyone that knows something about Industrial Engineering? Please,tell me if you know something... I've taken this major for college, but I know nothing about it:p

Industrial engineering, as I've seen it practiced, is primarily concerened with the physical design of manufacturing processes. Besides the basic mechanical/electrical systems, it touches on efficiency, ergonomics, and just about any other field that impacts on the manipulation of raw materials into a finished good.

But I was an ME in school, and we didn't have an IE program, so I have no idea what the academic scope is. I probably would have done IE if it was offered and I knew about it, it seems to be a more holistic field and a lot less interested in the specific physical details of gadgets.
