Anybody alse into poker? Particulary on the internet. I actually found this site and the my personality type at a poker forum where it seemed that the majority of players (especially the winning ones) were INTJs or something close.
I find the ever changing game of adjusting and deception combined with interesting mathematical theory very intriguing. Also nice is observing your bankroll rising as a testamony of your superiority to other playes and proof that a concept of play that you devised is correct. Also you get to "up the chalange" with higher stakes once you notice you a crushing a game.
I dont particulary like playing in a casino because of the atmosphere though.
Overall poker is IMO the ideal game for this personality type- as you need the cold patient analitical mind and intuition.

I have played poker with a group of friends - all Irish blokes - for over 25 years. There is a Sean, Kieran, and three Kevin's in the group. We get some occasional diversity (a Jeff or maybe Vinnie), but mostly its the Irish Catholics in our poker game.
i'm a big poker fan here. i've been a winning player so far, but not by extreme amounts. i've broken down my game and replanned it 3 times so far. each one has been better but there is always room for improvement. if you want to talk about about poker theory, let me know.

Blum are you a 2+2er?
I've read some stuff on 2+2. I haven't been on there in awhile though. That was years ago when I was playing online poker.

I usually play with the older males in my family, uncles and cousins, on Friday nights.

I'm confused. You asked if anyone plays and online in particular. You also said you don't enjoy playing live. Now you say you were playing online "years ago".
????????
Anyway I enjoy playing poker and all that. I only enjoy playing with people who know what they're doing though. I'm fine with 1 or 2 fish at my table but I'd rather play against solid players and break even than play against total clowns and steal their money. Like I can't enjoy a poker game with friends who need to be reminded of the rules every time the action is on them.
I'm different from the OP.
I played online poker before i went to college and made a good amount of money, but cashed it out because the US was taking legal action against the casinos. From then, I just played with groups of friends who have games on the weekends and stuff.
Recently though I reinstalled my poker clients online and have been thinking about putting some real money on to get started again.
