Not very accurate at all. I got ENTP.

The main problem with this test is how specific the options are.

ENTP - now if they had asked me to contemplate my ideal career, it would have been no contest.

Yeah they talked about picturing our perfect house. If they said something like, picturing your perfect life or ideal life, then I would've gotten INTJ.

Yeah, the INTJ question is crappy. Contemplating the perfect home is far too limited. (I picked the INFJ question first.)

I think this test hints at how difficult it is to guess someone else's type based on how they act.

Although, while I didn't pick it as my first choice, I do like to imagine my ideal house's layout, location, size, and pretty much everything else that's not interior decorating.

It seems pretty accurate to me, now that I think about it. Most of us seem to have picked either an NT answer or an INxJ answer. Considering that it's based on one question, that's not too bad. Obviously it's not perfect, but hasn't anyone else ever been told that they're an ISTJ or an INFJ or something else after taking a longer test?

Deadgod
03-26-2008, 08:38 AM
Very inaccurate. I got INTP as expected (I'd say I'm closely related to this type) but what if someone likes to do a number of those things listed? Unless, it's a matter of what you would most likely want to do of all the options...It would still be vague. Take the Keirsey test and believe that one. I suggest avoiding these silly tests altogether.

You have to remember that F-types are inherently inferior to T-types. And other T-types are inferior to INTJs. And other INTJs are inferior to me. ...Or something. ;)

Ha!

I selected contemplating my perfect home.

And scored INTJ? Or is it ENTP? (depending on the jump on the screen, I couldn't tell)

I didn't even find INFP after clicking all the options I thought fit. Obviously, it was one that didn't strike me as, well, me-ish, because I gave up.

They're just Nihilists-- nothing to be afraid of. Say what you want about the tenets of National Socialism, but at least it's an ethos.

Not that accurate, I got INFJ.

The option is badly worded. Instead of saying "Imagine how the world could be improved" it should say "Imagine how you can improve the world by helping those in need".

That would = INFJ.

Cool. Me too. I used to spend entire days building and decorating these elaborate homes for my Sims. When I finally finished one, I'd play the family for maybe an hour or two, hit the save button, exit the lot, and then not play that family or enter that lot ever again. ;D I LOVED drawing blueprints when I was little too.

Anyway, yeah. My first attempt, I got INTJ - Contemplate your perfect home. My second choice was "Head out for the country" ISFP.

Perhaps the test doesn't serve as an accurate way of typing people but rather a way of displaying the unconscious desires of an individual. For example: If I selected that I wanted to play poker, only to find that it labels me as an ESTP, then it must represent my desire to to be just like an ESTP, which must mean that I want to be bold and daring and full fo action (what a way to boost the already superfluous self-confidence of an INTJ). And I would say that if one does get an INTJ, that they would much rather improve on their own functions.

INTJs do like to consider perfect homes. We have a lot of these perfect environment theoretical discussions, and even devise how to implement them.

We probably would, if conditions were correct to do so.

I did select INTJ, too.

ok, although it is pretty inaucurate, I decided to test it by doing it again and picking the second best option for me

1. INFJ
2. ENFJ (I had this result last time, although I will have to debate it with you, as I do not see it that accurate )
3. ENTP (my older result, which I consider to be the most precise)

Exactly, it's not about decorating the home or even the home (cause I think it was brought as an example). But, for me, I chose this option cause I always like to contemplate my accomplishments, I contemplate how perfect I've done them and I like to feel this satisfaction : that I've done my work the best way I can which is the best way no one else can lol.

So it could be about a goal I've reached or work (reports, presentations) or even a simple perfect phrase I wrote and it can also be when I clean up my room and everything is then so organized.

So I think It was more about contemplating your accomplishments and the home was just an example either way I wouldn't have picked this option.

The only other choice I found appealing though was : "Imagine how the world could be improved" but I don't think it would be my first choice cause for me it's more than "imagining" I cross to the step of "doing and accomplishing" which brings me to my first choice : I imagine how to improve everything, I plan, I do it and finally I contemplate my accomplishment.

Strangely, it may be a relatively accurate test. Although the answer I first checked assuming it would be INTJ was not the one (wanted to see if the creator of the test was thinking what I thought they'd be thinking), the very one I'd been eyeing from the start as my own answer was the INTJ one. As far as playing chess goes, well I just prefer to play chess.

The questions are not that odd to me. I focused on the intent of the question.

I got INTJ and INFJ as both seem to fit.

I considered whether I wanted to improve people systems (the world) or build my ideal system (environment).

INTJ: "Scientist". Most self-confident and pragmatic of all the types. Decisions come very easily. A builder of systems and the applier of theoretical models. 1% of the total population.

After looking at all the choices, this one best suited me. Although, going dancing (ENFP - Ha!) & heading for the country (ISTP - Eh) sounded good, too. But, those aren't inherent to my basic nature as much as contemplating. Whether it is the perfect home, the perfect job or the perfect way to get out of as conversation, I am always contemplating & I enjoy it.

Not accurate at all for me. Amusing, nonetheless.

ISFP: "Artist". Interested in the fine arts. Expression primarily through action or art form. The senses are keener than in other types. 5% of the total population.

I can't be bothered on contemplating a home right now when I can barely afford rent. Art is so much cooler.

My top 8

INTP (I like chess, though I suck at it)
ENTP
ENTJ
INTJ (I do like the Sims)
ISTJ
ESTP
INFP
ENFP

Lets see how many letters correct my top 4 got on average.
3/4
2/4
3/4
4/4
Avg: 12/16 = 3/4
Compared to an expected average (if this were all random) of 2/4

My top 8
19/34 = .59

Compared to an expected average of 2/4 (or .5).

So I would say this is somewhat accurate.

I got INTP. The funny thing is that when I decided on the answer, I thought they'd give me INTJ, but INTP actually fits me more anyway, so there's some semblance of accuracy there. I tried to imagine out of all of it which one I'd really want to do the most if I had to do one of them.

I didn't even contemplate the "right" answer- mostly because I'm kinda really bad at chess. XD I actually thought about choosing the INTJ answer at first, then for some reason turned around and chose "Discuss the way things work in the world" ENTP, though; not bad for one question. ; D

My top three picks were:

-ENTP "Discuss the way things work in the world"
-INTP "Play chess"
-INTJ "Contemplate your perfect home"

This was pretty inaccurate and I'm ashamed of whoever it was that created this.

Mine seems to be quite close. I am always wanting to "get the hell out of Dodge" so to speak. Head for the country..... or at least some quiet place to relax.

hehe. ENTP.

not particularly accurate, but an interesting little quiz....

i think the INTJ option was my fifth choice. a house? really? the option seemed a bit sentimental for my taste.
