I like MM too, but mainly as a symbol of rebellion. He's out there making the world safe for us normal non-conformists. My favorite song of his is Tourniquet.

Mmm, I had an avatar of a girl drawn by Pu-sama up. But it just wasn't me. Now I got this spiffy white wolf, so far the only one with blue eyes. I kept OCD'ing (obsessive-compulsive disorder, for those that don't know) while resizing the thing in Paint. Plus, it fits me name, kind of... Ya know, with the whiteness and the Angel thing?

Because anything short of that means annoying Avatars.

115x145 for consistency
19.5kb to keep size to a minimum (easy to achieve at that size anyway)
No border to stop people using a smaller avatar and just bordering up the difference
No transparency, since it's possible to theme the forum different and thus you avatar would look bad
No animation, since GIF animation is the bane of all life
No text means no advertising.
