I really like the Dutch comedian Hans Teeuwen. He also did a show in English, it's in pretty good quality on youtube:

Not nearly as good as all the stuff he's done in Dutch but still good and very different from all other comedians. Really worth the watch if you don't know him, I think.

I don't know many other good comedians besides Chappelle, Hicks and Carlin. Will check some of those out El Cas. I would also like to hear if somebody has found a funny female comedian because I've seen so many woman try but never succeed.

Brian Regan is my all-time fav. He kills me.

Jim Gaffigan is my next; after that I don't care for anyone specifically.

Here's part one of Brian Regan's I Walked on the Moon special (my favorite). I highly, highly recommend it if anyone has time.

Watch this. Right now. (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.)

It seems everyone is just posting a list of people they see on Comedy Central every weekend. Most of these guys suck.

Most comedians on TV aren't as funny as ones you see in a club, imo.

But I do like Martin Lawrence, Jim Gaffigan, and the Sklar Brothers.

Sklar twins are probably my favorite, especially when they guest host the Jim Rome radio show. Their comedy blends sports with pop culture and their style of humor is like perfectly aligned with mine. Love those guys.

I like Mitch Hedburg.

Stand-up comedy is mostly my ESFP brother's turf. His dinner conversation usually consists of various reenactments of people's comedy routines.

I love stand-up comedy, wish I was remotely talented enough to do it myself, but sadly, most females comediens suck :( (don't know why, they just do..!).

Anyhoo, here's a list of some of my faves :)

Judith Lucy (one of the few very good female stand up comediennes)
Stephen K Amos
Steady Eddy
Ross Noble

I don't have any favorites, but some have their moments:

Richard Pryor on the Mob.
Steve Wright's material from the 80s.
Bill Cosby as himself.
Seinfeld Telling You for the Last Time.
Henny Youngman's classic one-liners.
Ron White's drinking stories.
John Heffron on sibling rivalry.

Comics I love:

Bill Hicks
George Carlin
Mitch Hedburg
Joe Rogan
Jim Gaffigan
Daniel Tosh
Patton Oswalt
Larry the Cable Guy
Bill Burr

Comics I hate:

Bill Engvall.
I have never laughed at anything this moron has said. I usually figure his jokes out mid-sentence and state the punch line with him.

Robin Williams.
Grown people who act like annoying, hyperactive children are not funny to me.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Gallagher. . . just kidding.

Many of my favorites have already been named: Eddie Izzard, Bill Hicks, Richard Pryor, Louis CK. I think some other notables include Mike Birbiglia, Greg Giraldo, Andy Kaufman, Sam Kinison, and in the musical comedy category, Steven Lynch and Bo Burnham.

Andy Dick has to be the worst ever. I can't believe that guy is actually famous.

George Carlin
Eddie Izzard

I don't mean to offend, but I could not disagree more. He's probably the best at making his very carefully pre-scripted jokes appear to be extemporaneous, and there's not much variety. He just alternates between loud crazy guy voice, low crazy guy voice, and weird german woman voice, all the while saying the same random shit in each tone. Just annoying.

Conan O'Brien is much better at creating humor out of thin air than is Robin Williams.

To be honest everyone says carlin was the best but i dont think he was all that funny, but i will give him credit for making it big. I like dave chappelle, daniel tosh. Ugh, i absolutely despise people like george lopez and carlos mencia who only have the typical racist mexican jokes to fall back on, be creative. Oh yea the blue collar tv gang makes me wanna barf, i mean sometimes they make me laugh, but they take it wayyyyy too far with the hillybilly jokes. Get err done only appeals to morons. (strictly my opinion)

I'm a fan of guys like Louis CK, Daniel Tosh, Dave Chappelle, and Mitch Hedberg. Also, I'm surprised I've never seen Myq Kaplan mentioned, as I think his comedic style would be appealing to INTJs. Be sure to check him out. (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.)

Lastly, I know this isn't the "unpopular opinions" thread, but I just have to wonder if I'm the only person who dislikes Bill Hicks. He's less of a comedian and more of a screaming moron (basically a fat Dane Cook with a bad haircut).

When I'm in need of a fun filled evening there's only one man (50/50) that can help me: Eddie Izzard. I'd recommend seeing it if you are into soft yet well thought out humour. His last show, the best to date imo, is Stripped (2009) closely followed by Dress to Kill (1998)
