I just thought I'd create a thread in which we can just share our appreciation for this fantastic show, share links, quote quotable quotes, post spoilers...etc.

Check out old episodes here: TBBT (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.)

Check out(and buy?) the shirts that Sheldon wears during the show at To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

This is a pretty good site to find out when new episodes are coming up or view short synopses of all the episodes: To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Also, if you'd prefer to discuss the personality types of the characters this thread (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.) will suit your needs.

It would be a hell of a lot more awesome if you could watch the damn shows online, like ABC shows.

it's not awesome enough to deserve an "?!"

Sheldon's kinda funny. Penny's only really funny if she's providing material for Sheldon (like when Sheldon was teaching her physics.)

I think they made a huge mistake by letting penny and leonard get involved. it really drags down the rest of the show imho.

Sexual tension is necessary for a sitcom. The decline of any good sitcom begins when the main characters start having sex. Let's just hope Sheldon can carry them all into a fourth season.

...and GOD help them if Sheldon has sex. That's a shark that mustn't be jumped.

it's ok if they go there for short periods but then they need to destroy it. it was funny for an ep or two but you can't go further than that . I can't believe hte writers haven't realised what a drag it is.

I am really shocked that they haven't ended the relationship yet. it just doesn't work. what is funny is that Sheldon and penny have more chemistry than penny and leonard.

Chuck has been handling that well so far.

I watch few shows, but this is one of them. Must be pretty awesome!

Honestly I'm still rooting for Leslie Winkle. The chemistry between Sara Gilbert and Johnny Galecki was well established on Roseanne.

that's where I thought they were going with it. I also liked the doctor character. she added a lot to the plot but they could also make her low key. the girlfriend who isn't in every episode is the perfect compromise.

I didn't HATE the doctor character...but Sheldon actually liked her. Where's the fun in that?!

Yes, they do! Penny and Leonard are really awkward to watch - it's kinda awful. I keep waiting for them to have Sheldon break from his normally completely asexual demeanor and accidentally make a move on her. That might make things interesting for an episode or two.

there have been a couple spots where it looks like he's coming on to her. doesn't he actually look at some point too. (I didn't watch the whole ep again)

the fun in that is that sheldon liked her. who does he like? there's all kinds of comic value in that. "I've already ordered my own barium test" it's awesome stuff.

He likes Leonard's mom. That was a MUCH better combination of characters. They even kissed!

he just wants his mom to be like her. not the same thing. I thought it was cute but I didn't the possibilities of anything else from it.

Sheldon is by far my favorite character. I remember the episode when they're sitting in the cafeteria and sheldon opens with 'the thing about teleportation is..'

Who hasn't had /that/ talk before.

Tonight's episode( 3:18 "the pants alternative") has convinced me that Sheldon will save this show. It was basically so-so until Sheldon stepped up to the bat. Comedy gold.

THIS JUST IN! Sheldon will have a love interest revealed in the very last episode of this season...and she's TV's "Blossom", Mayim Bialik.

Big Bang Theory is probably one of the more original TV shows on today. They even fact check their jokes. Besides, being a theoretical physicist, this is my kind of show. ;D

Is Sheldon gay? I generally hate sitcoms.

I don't think he's gay. he just emotionally stunted. he's like a prepubescent.

Yeah, I know. I was busting on that character. I deal with some people like that in real life. That's painful enough. I don't need to spend extra time watching it for entertainment purposes.

I love this show, even the theme song. I've been told I'm like Sheldon so naturally he's my favorite character and I get all of the geeky references except for the comic book ones. I'm anxiously awaiting the return of evil Wil Wheaton.

Actually, I DON'T like this show. I like watching sitcoms generally, but not this one. Everything about it is just so annoying: the characters, the way they talk, the way they act, the way they look.. Oh, and the theme song! Every time I hear it I wanna take a hammer and just kill my TV. And also the jokes are just bad....

I don't get the comic book ones either, but I'd say I get most of his references. I'll admit goggled a few things he's said and I share many of his interests to a great degree.

I would contend that it is not awesome. But then again, laugh tracks really make me loath things.

The 'laugh track' annoyed me too but apparently there isn't one according to Chuck Lorre's latest vanity card: To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
