I have watched both series and I enjoy both but I find that Bones seems to feel more realistic to me. CSI is good but sometimes a little overdone and Bones has that 3-d holographic machine that re-creates the scene. I think Grissom from CSI and Temperance Bennet from Bones are INTJ's

I haven't watched bones, but I do know that CSI is highly unrealistic. Big tip off: Women wearing high heels in crime scenes. I mean come on. That's ridiculous. I can guarantee you their machinery is miraculous, too. By machinery I mean machines they use in lab to say x matched up with x person or whatever they use to analyze compounds. Plus, some of the stuff they do is waay overdone. And then sometimes they go into an indoor crime scene - and leave the lights off! Why? It would make sense to turn the lights on immediately.

The fact that 3 or so different versions of CSI are flogged night after night by one of our TV networks put me right off that show and as such I never really got into it. Never had a chance to watch Bones, it looks alright; however, I do LOVE Criminal Minds. That is a fantastic crime show. Great characters and character development too.

Personally, I like two of the 3 CSI's (the original, and CSI Miami). I know that they're totally unrealistic in that the characters are too perfect, and the scenarios are contrived. But I like the process of investigation, examination, and resolution - a logical sequence of steps from beginning to end. Of course, it's all wrapped up in the glitz of TV, but I manage to filter that out.

I have watch the original CSI and the Miami one, and David Curuso just gets to me. His acting is awful, I love the Grissom character though. Might be because he is the odd one out and loves insects like me.

Yeah, Caruso is a real hack, but I ignore him just like I ignore the acres of bosoms and butts, the "instant" DNA results, and the wall-sized touchscreen displays.

A fan of both and yes, of course, Grissom and Brennan are both INTJs. I watch the CSI: Miami version occasionally just to laugh and mock David Caruso.

I am glad that you don't find David's acting any good too. Is Grissom your favourite character too? There are some very interesting traits in his role.

I like the original CSI and Bones as well. If they killed off Grissom I don't think I would enjoy it as much though. I enjoy the interactions between the two main characters on Bones.

I agree on the Bones interaction between the two characters. However I hope the writers just don't mess it up and make it more of a romantic thing. :yuck:

They are rapidly heading in that direction, sorry to say.

So its a case of the writers can't think of any more intelligent thing to say so out comes the old romantic rubbish. Damn. :irked:

I am more of a fan of Bones, partially because it fits my schedule better, and it does seem more realistic. Also, after so many seasons of CSI, I think it has become boring for me.

I find CSI ridiculously stupid. I like Bones (not for the science, which gets hokey with holographic projectors) but for the character interaction. I love David Boreananz; he made Angel single handily and is always fun to watch.

Without Grissom, I probably wouldn't bother to watch the show. I also liked Sara and have watched less since the actress left. I don't mind a touch of romance added to the procedurals like CSI or Bones provided it doesn't take over the plot. I've had about enough of the romance between Brennan's sidekick Angela and whathisname because it's gotten ridiculous. I like some character development provided I like the characters.

I really like the platonic relationship in Bones, and I'd hate to see that dissolve into romance. I love the characters, but the holographic imagining project is so ridiculous. I cringe when they use it. :blank:
