Marking a Topic as Read, Without Viewing

Is there a way to mark individual topics as read? (similar to clicking a new email message and marking it as read, without opening it)

I know this could be done in reverse by simply looking at the topics one is interested in and then using the tool to mark the entire forum as read...but this is not quite the same, was wondering if I missed it when looking for the option. If not, is this part of the forum software, and would you consider enabling it?:cheesy:

This would be a useful feature and I have spent some time looking into it. Unfortunately, I haven't found a way to implement it at this time. It is not a default feature of vBulletin.
