I'm not sure if this arts/entertainment or current events/politics, but here we go.
Since it's in the top 20th most googled event in the last 2 days, I'm sure most of you have probably heard about Lee McQueen's death at only 40 years old. While some of you may not have seen most of his work up until now, I wanted to post something about him and his career:

I'm pretty much sure this is not your cup of tea for most of you intjs but I'm not actually fishing compliments or either condolences right now. He was my role model and my biggest dream was to ever get a chance to meet him in person. I have not slept at all after hearing the news and I am not willing to let this go. His death has marked me forever and made me question if working in that kind of (apparently) fragile lifestyle is even worth it to begin with. Made me actually feel very alone and all by myself. I will never forget or forgive him.
So please, I'm not asking you to care, but take your time to consider this topic and read (or watch) any of the links I attached.
Was it drug abuse? Depression? Murder? Just an accident? Was he in big debts? Stress? Was his career making so unhappy or his personal life? Could something have been done to help him? What the hell happened?
Any kind of feedback would be helpful right now.

I thought I had read that his mother had just died, and he was very close to her.

Yes this saddened me terribly. Funny I didn't think about him to much, but everytime I saw his work it freaked me out in a GOOD way. Made me question myself and beauty and all that good stuff.

So tragic that he died, he was truly talented.

I'm devastated...I literally cried for a good two hours after I found out. He wasn't just a designer, he was an artistic and creative genius. He was able to capture such grace, confidence and mystery in every one of his collections. His shows weren't just shows...it was theater; masterpieces. His 2005 S/S show with the light-up chess board/models as chess pieces and his recent fall collection simply blew me away. To see such talent just go away is heartbreaking; and how young he was! He got me into fashion and inspired me so much. As an artist, he was one of my muses and his work defined the direction I wanted to go with my art. I hope he rests in peace.

“From heaven to hell and back again, life is a funny thing. Beauty can come from the most strangest of places, even the most disgusting places.”

It is so sad to lose such a young man.

Noone really knows what is inside another person, I am sorry he made this choice. He can continue to be your inspiration, focus on the good, the creative.

Those shoes!

I go to a fashion school and we were all extremely devastated by his passing. He was an inspiration to so many designers and artists.
I'm sorry your taking the loss so hard :(
