Anyone else like this movie? I found it quite entertaining and enjoyed the plot twists. Do you think George Clooney's character is an INTJ? I think so because being alone and not forming any lasting connections with anyone. Being goal driven (ie. to attain 10,000,000 miles) and with a preference of being efficient and on time.

I think the movie, you will either love it or hate it. But I really liked it and I thought it was original as it seemly started out being a "romantic comedy" however ended on a much different note. I also thought George Clooney did a good job at acting in this role. What does everyone else think?

I liked the movie. I think he might have been an E considering the travel and dealing with people. I'm not sure that being goal driven is specific to INTJs.

I was coaxed into getting the movie knowing I disliked Clooney but enjoyed it none the less... I was surprised by the movies honesty.

It was a good move, very understated I thought. Something to think about. I hope it does well at the Oscars.

A friend has it on his PC, but it's not on my to-see list. Call me close-minded, but I'd rather watch The Elephant Man in HD than anything with George Clooney. If they had someone else in the lead role, maybe.

I thought ISTJ, but INTJ could work too...

I absolutely loved it. Not typical, not clear, not a good ending nor a bad one. I'm usually a sucker for happy endings, but this one... I don't know. The difference is kind of like looking at a detailed painting of children in the snow versus abstract art to me. This was abstract art. You already know the colors exist, but it shows you how to look at them in a completely different way.

I swear to God I am so sick of people typing every cool character in media as their own type...I have no idea what you based that he's INTJ on...he's constantly interacting with other people and does't seem drained by it, he regularly chats up strangers, he regularly considers others feelings when he makes decisions and he throws his side career away for a shot with Farmiga

The film is great. Funny, relevant, interesting, unique characters, interesting message. Farmiga is the perfect woman, physically and emotionally, in this movie right up to the ending.

Hey, I'm an I and have held jobs where I constantly interact with people. I don't mind talking to strangers, either, even initiating conversations. What both the movie character and other I-folk have in common is the source of energy. In his case, it's the airports and the flights themselves. He travels alone, he dines alone, he makes a point of not having other people in his personal life.

About the only E thing he does in the whole movie is crash the computer industry party, and even then he's not talking to other people or making new friends.

He travels light. He lives light. He makes no personal connections with the thousands of people he interacts with. He even prefers his office co-workers to be on the other end of a phone line instead of up close and personal.

He works on his book logo during the plane flight. He forgets to swipe his card for the rentacar kid when he's distracted. He prefers to have as little footprint on the world as possible. He takes advantage of the rules up to their limit. He's become very very good at what he does - every aspect of it, including the parts between work hours - and is quietly proud of that, or at least satisfied. He prefers to work alone. His empathy towards the people he fires is all clockwork, even if it's extremely refined and complex. He makes judgment calls about the people in the airport security line. He doesn't seem to speculate excessively about things unrelated to his work or logical extensions of it.

If he's not INTJ, he's probably only one letter out.

I saw this film, knowing that it was on a friend's top 3 list for 2009, and i have to say I was def disappointed.

I think my main objection was Clooney, who despite the fact that he ALWAYS plays a character who's classy/smooth/wearing a suit, didn't quite manage to become this character completely for me. Maybe my being used to Clooney as an arrogant figure in movies/real life (i heard once he said his greatest accomplishment was buying a villa on Lake Como, ugh) tainted my perception of the character, who underneath it all, is NOT (I gathered) supposed to be arrogant.

The rest of the cast is so dynamic and multi-dimensional, and I liked the screenplay, although I thought one of the best scenes was the party they crash. I thought it really captured the high emotions that come from only briefly connecting with someone--that feeling when you're drunk and out, and those fleeting moments shared with strangers.
