Does anyone else read this series? I read the last book of about 700 pages in just a few days. I was hooked.
They define what scandal is.
Tyrion Lannister is xntj and the coolest character! :)
Anyway, I got bored after the 2nd or 3rd book so I don't know the whole story.

I enjoyed the first 2.5 books. Finished the third, eh..
Never got into Feast For Crows. Just ran out of steam.
Ever consider how few characters are really involved in the story? Statistically speaking we'd all be serfs or grunts in a stupid army, running around getting killed or killing/pillaging others. Makes it hard for me to care about the story.
I'm looking forward to getting back into Malazan. Got through book 5 years ago, never picked up the remaining. Maybe i'll wait until they're all out in paperback. Or until the last is out in hardcover, then by the time it's in paperback I'll be ready to buy it.

Yes, I've read this series so far, and liked it a lot. I though it was nicely complex and absorbing.
However, I haven't gained a lot of faith in the author's ability to keep enough control of his process to ever get the next installment published, let alone to complete the planned seven book series. Which is a sad and frustrating thought.
I read the first couple of books. I stopped at A Storm of Swords because there wasn't a summary of the first few books and I didn't want to reread to get back up to speed. Also, I believe the series was supposed to original be a trilogy, I think that GMMR may have a little trouble with scope.

Severe. Potentially debilitating.
I'm so glad I'm not him, right now.

Thats what the most frustrating part is. The latest book was supposed to be released, what, 2 years ago? I'm honestly about to give up on the series. Its been too long and I dont currently feel like rereading all the old ones again to catch up for the new one when it comes out.
I still love the characters though, almost all of them. They are all really well developed.

This is pretty much the only thing I read for pleasure this year. Awesome series. I have isadancewithdragonsoutyet.com as my homepage (although unless the owner modifies the page source, it won't ever change, unlike hasthelhcdestroyedtheworldyet.com, which actually has an exception in the page source for the world being destroyed).

I've read up to a 'A Storm of Swords' I think. It was ages ago, but I did like it. 'A Feast For Crows' took too long to come out and by that time I'd forgotten everything and no way am I rereading that shit until it's guaranteed he's gonna finish the series before he carks it. Also, I'm a bit suss on FFC not having Tyrion, Jon Snow, or even Daenerys - they were kinda my favourites.

They were also my favorites, especially Daenerys. However FFC is supposed to focus on them.

I've read all the ones that are currently out. The first three were great, A feast for Crows, not so much. It took me a long time to finish because I didn't like many of the characters in it. Especially Brielle of Tarth? I think that was her name anyway. Her chapters were extremely boring. I've been waiting for A Dance with Dragons to come out for a long time now. Unfortunately, it's been around 4 years since I have read anything in the series so if the new book does come out I might have some problems.

Oh, I'm just dying for the next book! Jamie quickly became one of my favourite characters. I despise Sansa though, seriously, how pathetic can you get. Ugh. =P
I'm worried Martin will pull a Jordan on us and die before he finishes <.<
