I think I prefer "Use Somebody" over "Sex on Fire."

I really thought I was going to get completely sick of "I'm Yours," because it played everywhere all the time, but I never really did get tired of it.

Edit: I was also fond of "Sometime Around Midnight" by Airborne Toxic Event, especially the way it culminates toward the end.

Half serious, but impossible to do so with that imagery:

I got tired of "I'm Yours" in about a few weeks. It got that irritating.

I say has to be 2009 release, otherwise seems a bit weak to have a "songs you happen to like in 2009", but not my thread...

I may hate it, but Single Ladies by Beyonce will always scream 2009 to me.

That was my idea.

How could I forget Death of Autotune by Jay-Z? Even though it's not his business to be telling other rappers what to do, it was still an epic-win song to me before logic and reason kicked in.

That first one might actually be my favorite (quasi commercial) track of the year. No lie.

The other, however, turns my brains to jelly. I have often wondered if God was punishing me for some heinous crime I had committed.

It is either the song Pretty As A Swastika

or

I Have To Look Up Just To See Hell

I got tired of "I'm Yours" in about a few weeks. It got that irritating.

I was tired of it from the get-go. I despise that song.

My songs of 2009 didn't necessarily come out in 2009, but they still mean a lot to me. There's too much music and songs that have influenced me and have become a part of who I am, so I'll just list a few...

Dig by Incubus (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.)
Weak and Powerless by A Perfect Circle (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.)
Marching Bands of Manhattan by Death Cab for Cutie (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.)
I Will Follow You Into The Dark by Death Cab for Cutie (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.)
Set The Fire to the Third Bar by Snow Patrol (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.)
Brand New Colony by The Postal Service (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.)
The Little Things Give You Away by Linkin Park (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.)

There are way too many songs to list. Music is such an integral part of my life. I wish I could have put more of a variation on here, but I didn't want to be on here all night.

Paparazzi - Lady Gaga by default. It's pretty much the only 2009 released (pretty sure) song that I listened to. 156 times.
