I just noticed today (several months late) that she has a new album. I've enjoyed her others (I particularly like Hide & Seek). Does anyone own Ellipse? I'm listening to bits and pieces online as I can find them (my aging mac won't play nice with her MySpace site). I'll probably buy the album, but curious what others that like her have thought. Is it in the same vein as most of her others, something different, too similar, are just plain good?

I have a copy of Ellipse and to an extent it's more of the same as Speak for yourself, which isn't such a bad thing. If you liked Speak for yourself and Details (under the name frou frou) You will probably like this album.

I own it, same as above, it's not a particularly dramatic departure from Speak for Yourself, but that's not a bad thing. I will add, though, that I thought her work on Frou Frou was in a different league. Details is one of my favorite albums ever.

Here's the lead single, First Train Home (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.). Although I thought the best on the album was Wait it Out (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.).

I like it, but I loved Speak For Yourself. Details as well, though to a lesser extent. If you are an Imogen Heap fan I say pick it up!

I've been listening to the new one on Pandora a bit, and I've liked what I've heard so far. As I'm going to be fairly homebound soon (baby's due in a couple of weeks here), more new music is good.

That reminds me, I need to get started on some playlists.
