Is anyone familiar with this program? I'm trying to use this Fractal algorithm:

I'm working on a poster about fencing. If I can figure out how to use this, it'll save me a lot of time. Using my own list of words, I'm trying to create an image similar to this:

words: Foil Épée Sabre Swordsmanship Guard Lunge Attack Parry Touché Mask Block Parry Slender Flexible Blade Point Conventions Sequence Moves Riposte Counter Attack Bout Combat Cutting Stabbing Bludgeoning Weapons Style Stance Grace Extend Stretch Artistic Sport Duel Noble Bow Kneel Salute Technique Reflex Gauntlet Disengage Advance

I'm more of an Illustrator/Photoshop user, Flash is new to me. Any help would be appreciated.

I wish I could help, unfortunadtly the computer I have does not have flash and my own computer which has flash die out... I have to replace the power supply.

You could however try this site:

You need more words. (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.)

That's raw, there's HTML controls to make it cleaner, but I don't care enough to write the html for it...just download the swf, put it on your server, and replace it in that other site's html code and you should be GTG. :thumbsup:

BTW, you can get a 30 day free trial of Adobe Flash CS3 (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.) Professional to monkey with it. In order to do so, once you download/install, open the .fla file (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You'll see a part that shows the list of words after vernacular = ". Makes sure its all on one line, beginning with " and ending w/ ";

Deal is...once you have the words you want, you will want to use File->Publish Preview->Flash to view it, then File->publish to save out/compile/whatever flash does to swf.

NOTE: Does not appear to work above flash player level 6, FYI. And the font the guy used didn't exist, so I downloaded it from one of those font sites.

I forgot how much I liked Adobe products... so intuitive. Wish everything was designed that well.

pavman, you are my hero!!! :cheesy: You just saved me an unbelievable amount of time on this project.

I'll try to think of more words to input and thanks for the link, I've been using the school's computers up till now. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your help.

And I agree about your "intuitive" comment. Interestingly enough, the subject of how well Adobe products are designed comes up often in my class, we're currently learning InDesign CS3. Hopefully I can learn more Flash in my free time :)

Again- THANK YOU
