INTP's are wonderful creatures that need lots of love. And for a limited time, you too can have your own special INTP that you can love and play with!

The premise is simple. INTP's (and other types) can post themselves up here for adoption, and willing INTJ's can then choose to adopt those INTP's so that they can play and learn together and do lots of other mushy stuff. Take it as a wonderful opportunity for the mixing of types. It'll be fun, run with it! What you do with your INTP after adoption is totally up to you! There's no reason why multiple people can't adopt the same INTP, so no need to worry if your favourite INTP has already been adopted.

Of course!

INTPs are very cute, but I'm just not sure I'm ready for that kind of responsibility. How much attention do they need? Do I need to buy a leash? How much do they shed?

Each INTP is different, but most only need a hug every now and then.
A leash is only necessary if you're INTP displays world domination tendencies.
Most INTP's are self cleaning

It's not what they eat, but when they eat. It is important not to interrupt the INTP while he is deep in play. Apart from that, the INTP probably won't even notice what you're feeding them.
Some sun light and social interaction never hurts an INTP, though there might be some resistance at first.
INTP's are always a big hit with neighbours and friends!

There are smart people everywhere, and they are quite good at stirring up commotion when we invade. With our forces so scarce as of now, it would be unwise to invade places such as Japan or China (Heck. I'm in China. Lemme try to dominate the CCP), because the masses can easily be controlled by the government. It would be better to establish our stronghold and have somewhere we can fall back on if we fail :thumbsup: Concerning the natural resources, I'd say the Mid-east.

If yours are doing that to an excess it may be a sign of boredom on the part of your INTP. You may want to look into getting him or her a ball or a stuffed animal to play with.

I adopt INTPs from time to time, only to find out that we both need to be adopted, and that they invariably sense something about me (that I find completely natural) making them bite me. I mean, biting is fine, but after some point it becomes dangerous for both sides.

Other times, INTPs adopt me. Then I eventually find out that I'm a bad pet and would never learn to use the toilet seat (properly), so it's better to live as a homeless dog.

This thread reminds me of an INTP friend who put an advertisement to find his first girlfriend. I think he ended up with an ENTJ.

I thought we were mainly going to huggle the world to death via group huggles? But see, this is what happens when I innocently adopt an INTJ when no INTPs were suitable nor available. It leads to evil plans of world domination very quickly. So then, we clearly had to have an xNTP to help us refine them. Plus, I couldn't really let all of my world domination plans rest in one unit, what if things went wrong?? Contingency planning, you should understand this woman. How could I do this to you? How could I not! Anyway, as plans have yet to really form, the plans you and I had are the most likely right now. Santana hasn't been around much for planning purposes, and Nikkita is new.

There is always the option of a fight to the death between you and Santana for the slot in my world domination group. I'm really not sure who would win.

And I certainly wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of two INTJs ganging up on me, founder of an evil empire or no.

Your only hope is to somehow use the persuasive powers of your new ENFP minion (Josephine, how could you???? We'll get to you later!) to turn Santana and I against one another, hoping to recruit the bloody and exhausted survivor into the cadre of your campaign for world domination.

However, if I emerge from the battle with Santana victorious you should probably find a cave in Afghanistan in which to cower fearfully. While the ENTJ is most likely to lead a crusade for world domination, it is the INTJ who is most likely to launch a solo campaign towards the same end and who is most likely to succeed!

Now... I'll need a fervently devoted INTP to stand here and fire this thing... it's fallout area is larger than it's range, so anyone who fires it is likely to be killed. Volunteers?

If available, I'll make a formal offer on the pair. (I think a pair would be nice--they could get a buzz on one another's inventiveness; make the adjustment easier.) They would need to relocate to the U.S., to the bloody frozen great northern plains, which would probably be perfectly cozy for search--I'll throw in a couple sets of really nice paw covering thingies-- and since Moriarty is not long out of southern hot dry places, he can have the room next to the sauna, just in case he needs to warm up and dehydrate himself for comfort. I'll add a layer of sand, a fan to make it blow about, and about 200 pounds of gear to carry, if he gets homesick.

Other than that, I'll assist with grooming and housekeeping (I know those can be time-consuming annoyances to intps); there will be plenty of fresh food and water stuff, the occasional junk food of choice, (did someone say they liked dark chocolate covered cherries and cheetos?) a well stocked library with wifi equipped laptops, comfy sofas, desks, and fireplace. You'll have the freedom to noodle about all day, to explore your ideas, and I'll give you a healthy allowance so you can collect crap in which you are passionately interested. The recycling bins are right out back. Lessee...what else?... I'm in a big urban area, so you can get lots of stimulation on demand, and there are readily accessible amusement, and even mating, prospects when you want that. I'm adjacent to an extensive parkway--miles of green space for times when you just need to get lost. There are cute woodland animals, (or large domestic ones could be obtained if, for example, search gets lonesome) wild places to explore and photograph, and waterways to canoe, sail, or swim in, weather permitting. Lots of winter sports (like Vigorous Shoveling and De-Icing the Gutters.) Church might be a problem for search; I don't think we have your flavor here. The best I can do is install Skype here and back home and you can remote in.

All I ask in return is, say, 3 or so hours a day of concentrated attention to me and my aspirations. You will be obligated to make me wealthy, so anticipate figuring out how to fix the world economy at least sufficiently to serve me a healthy slice of it. I live in kind of a rough neighborhood, so you will need to also resolve the poverty problem in the U.S. and ensure that me and mine are safe from predators. I'll want you also to address health care--it's broken in the U.S. You will need to fix that and then take steps to improve the care received by my loved ones. There are plenty of things I'd like to learn; you'll need to arrange for my education-either by learning it first, and then teaching me, or by otherwise re-establishing public education in the U.S. and then making a way for me to get mine. Hmmmmm, it occurred to me that Nikita's 'e' is lowercase. Perhaps what you want is an eNTP. Based on her fine efforts in this thread, I think she might meet your 'change the world' needs the best so maybe you should offer to adopt her.

Do you really think that she's going to fall for that? I don't keep her cooped up in a crate like you others. I let her be free, and I just supply her with evil plans when she runs out, and I make sure her basic needs are met. She's great at self-maintenance, so I mostly don't need to worry. As you can see, she's even set up her own business and I've not stood in the way.
