Heya, what new games are you into?
I'm a COD4 FPS fan these days and looking forward to Frontlines, Fuel of War which should be out in a couple of days (where I am anyway), the demo was cool and worth checking out. I like the big open maps and ability to change weapons mid match plus I love the Choopers. So yeah the full game should be cool.
How about you? WOW addicts need not apply :P

New Games? Er, not much I guess. Sins was pretty good, but it dragged on too long for my tastes... no true "new" technologies to allow game ending like in other 4x games made it a grind.
I dono. EVE + TF2 is kind of my diet atm.

At most I'm still playing Age of Empires III and C&C 3, not much I'll be playing until this school semester ends.

That's one of my favourites too but, too bad no one I know wants to play it.
I'd be playing it a lot if my brothers would be willing to play with me.

Oh heck yeah. COD4 is nearly my most favorite game of the past year! The Multiplayer in itself has made it worth the full price many times over.
COD4 is only surpassed on my personal chart by Orange Box, so far... I'm always a sucker for the man-alone (or nearly-alone) sci-fi story-based shooter, myself, and on that Valve seem to be the experts. Not to mention the sheer value and variety in the O.B. package... Yum!

I havn't been playing games lately. Been doing a bit of DS though. Mainly Ace Attorney Apollo Justice. Also, Lifesigns Surgical Unit, Ass creed Altair Chronicles, and Professor Layton. On PC I've been playing quite a bit of hellgate london as well.
Mainly, I'm just waiting for Brawl.

My favorite game of all time is Splinter Cell DA. I cant wait until Splinter Cell Convictions comes out. Its going to be amazing! I have Assasin's creed, which was made along side SC, but im not a very big fan. Its really repetitive. But ill give it a break since its the first of a trilogy.

Really?! Man, i loved it. Its my kind of game. Strategic, but a first person shooter. They are few and far between.

RPGs and Strategy games are the most favored. Besides the classics, I like 'Fable' and 'Oblivion'. I also liked Civ4, it is extremely entertaining.

Rappelz and Perfect World, both mmo's, Oblivion, space empires V occasionally, silent hunter 4, and X3 Reunion. Most new ones have a very short game life :\ Bioshock, Gothic 3, Overlord, etc.
Just waiting for StarCraft II :D

Civ is a great game. I have owned all 4 versions. Unfortunately, due to its time consuming nature, I haven't had as much time to devote to Civ 4 and its expansion pack, Beyond the Sword.

This is a gripe of mine with games these days. They take so much time and unless you have time you end up coming back and be being annihilated.
A friend suggested just playing online chess but again I think its the same deal. Plus with those people you are dealing with virtual machines.
I often wonder how well versed those are who are creating these games.

I have a slow computer so I've stopped playing the next gen games until I have money to upgrade it. I only play PES2008, and the good old Diablo II.

Anyway, I got Brawl at mindnight on Saturday and immediatly played it. I was too busy playing it to post that though. And I got a D+ on my Hon. Geo test because I played it too much sunday (that, and it was a hard test!)

I prefer browser based games, and platform games.
I like Final Fantasy series. The newest is FF13, but I haven't got a PS3 yet :\

DA was sweeeet. Conviction will be amazing.
As for me, the most recent additions to my tiny 360 collection would be Orange Box, Bioshock, Lost Planet (shush, it's fun; in a lame way), and Guitar Hero.
As a side note, anyone else feel Assassins Creed could have been so much better than what it turned out to be (granted, it's still an awesome game...) just felt like they tried to stretch out the story far, far too much.

Every fan of traditional styled japanese games need to check out Mana Khemia. Excellent RPG with enough twists to make the gameplay feel fresh yet still keep the traditional stylings.
For fans of Guilty Gear (imo the only fast-paced fighting game) you should try Arana Heart. Plays very similar and is lots of fun. 11 characters, that can be customized by adding one of 11 other spirits to them~ in essence making 121 possible characters to play (this works out very well too.
Note on Arcana Heart: Super "japanesey" and an all female cast. I find it makes the game better but mileage may vary ^^

Team Fortress 2 ... I love it.
Advanced Wars: Days of Ruin for DS is a great game. It's not as good as the previous AW for DS, but it's still fun.

Just finished Assassins Creed on PC, the ending made me want to return it and get my money back. In fact you cant even call it an ending, its like they just stopped 4/5ths the way through.....

Right now, I am super obsessed with Oblivion, for some reason or another. I remember I was addicted to Morrowind when I first played it, but this is an entirely new kind of sensation. I dream about Oblivion, constantly.

Why would you want to get a ps3 anyway? Too expensive, not enough good games, time to put fanboydom aside and buy a 360

Don't you mean buy a few 360's? So you won't have to wait for while one or two are getting fixed~ assuming they don't all break down at once lol.
PS3 is kind of the same price anyway. You'd have to spend $500 on a 360 to get it to do the same things as a PS3 anyway. And not enough good games? MGS4 and FF13 are gonna be huge~ and most of the big 360 games are cross platform anyway ^^
I'm not a fanboy tho~ objectively speaking, they really offer people very similar product with only slight differences, although it shouldn't be too long before the 360 is obsolete and replaced. Consoles tend to have a shelf life of 5 years or less and the some of the tech inside the 360 is either a bit dated or soon will be. Even more so now that HD-DVDs are no more. (seriously... Lost Odyssey covers 4 discs and each one has about 10+ hours of content... just terrible)

Maybe you're not a fanboy but MGS4 and FF are ALWAYS the games ps3 owners site as their reason for buying the system (and occasionally blu-ray). However, MGS will probably be cross platform soon too. Most of the titles that were solely on the previous PS platforms have gone cross flatform beacuse developers know they can make more money that way. I completely agree that the ps3 has superior graphics capabilites but gameplay has struggled mighty heavily since the days of the ps2. And despite Sony lowering the price on the system it is still far, far behind the 360. Poor availability in stores also hurt the system's initial popularity and it's struggled to become relevant. For this generation I actually think owning a Wii might be the best system, as opposed to the last generation when it was most definitely the ps2.

If you bring in the mods you can completely change the game in so many ways.
Of course I'm pretty sure I've overdone it with a 15 GB Oblivion folder.

After a few months of obsessively playing Call of Duty 4 I decided to sell the Xbox 360 (6 months old) due to its useless networking ability. Coming from a PC background not being able to choose who and where you play with ease seemed completely retarded so I just sold the whole lot a few days ago.
I'm now back to playing Starcraft in anticipation!! of Startcraft 2... all I can say is it better be good! (looks good so far)

30 hours isn't really very long. FFVII was about 60, I think, and that was years ago.

I bought Lost Odyssey under the assumption that any rpg created by Sakaguchi with music done by Uematsu would be an unparalleled work of genius. The entire storyline ended up having so much drama that it makes me a little sick when I play it... but oh how I missed turn-based fighting.
The newest game I've played that I actually love is Oblivion, but that's getting fairly old now.

I'll have to go with Supreme Commander. That game is sooo intense that I sometimes forget that if I build a too large of an army and send them out to utterly crush the opposing force, my computer will freeze up and die because of craziness happening in the battlefield lol. Anyone heard of Spore? I've been waiting for that game to come out but with it being delayed so many times I've lost track as to its real release date because I really want to play God and build a perfect civilization MWAHAHAHAHA!!!! jk, I'll probably build the most messed up civilization ever lol.

Just beat CoD 4, awesome campaign thoroughout (Veteran mode is next to impossible, though) and the multiplayer is very addictive.
I bought GTA 4 and so far it's been pretty awesome. Niko Bellic is by far the best GTA character to date, and the storyline has some rather interesting twists that you won't be expecting. I've dabbled in a bit of multiplayer, and so far it hasn't surpassed CoD 4, but again I haven't explored enough of it to give an accurate opinion. But GTA seems to focus more on the single player, as it really should. Don't listen to what others say about the driving - as you play, you naturally get better. I still haven't gotten a hang of the helicopter flying, though. The one thing that the game lacks in my opinion are more fun and interesting ways to use cash. I mean, you can go to strip clubs, play pool, drink, and all of that, but the only thing that you really need to dish out all of your hard earned cash for is weapons. But, still, I think that the minigames should be numerous and more in-depth. Outside of that, it's a very solid game and worthy of a buy.
I rented Mass Effect and I haven't played too much of it yet, but I think it will be the next on my To Buy list. So far it seems quite solid.

That’s good info, I’ll stand by until and do a marathon session when the sequel and hopefully not the prequel comes out.
Fable and Oblivion are pretty good I think I am going to get lost for awhile tonight.
