Those are great qualities (okay, they're basically my best qualities too) that could be worked into just about any career. I mean, if you were an actor, you could be a great perfectionist, analytical actor. Or a great logical nurse or an investment banker who is sensitive to the aesthetics of the market. So really you should just go with what you're interested in. But if you're not sure, it would probably be good to explore any kind of design.

I'm a 1st year architecture student. However I see that nanotechnology and artificial intelligence are the future. I'm thinking of changing to physics or some branch of engineering. My qualities are very conflicting. Architecture is not logical and science is not aesthetical.
I feel that I'd do ok in architecture.
But my question is: could I be successful in science with those qualities?

I happen to think that an INTJ could be successful at anything. So the question isn't so much a matter of whether you could be successful... or even whether you're in the area you think you'd be best for or which would make you happiest. Fields and jobs contain so many elements that it's impossible to predict what's the best match for you until you've tried a bunch of stuff. For instance, you might love the science of physics but end up hating the actual work real physicists do. Our ideas about fields often have little to do with what working in them is actually like.
So I would think about these factors... what kind of work do you want to do? (Creative? Physical? At a desk? Outdoors?) Who do you want to do it with? (Other people like you? People with different skillsets? Alone?) And why do you want to do it? (To help people? To create something beautiful? To make money?)

I would like creative work at a desk. I kinda feel bad in laboratories - in an aesthetic sense only, however I guess I like engineers/scientists as people more than architects. Therefore I would like to work with similar INTJ/P'ish people. My goal in life is to contribute to the progress of humanity, to change the world, to make new discoveries. I would like to have a flexible job, which would not limit my curiosity and interests in other fields (be a very good and wanted specialist so that I could negotiate free time for my creative endeavours).

These could be used in any number of careers, in ANY industry. The right question is what field or activity interests me? Once you figure THAT out, you can answer, the apply all of those traits.

Maybe it's better to think about what you're *not* good at. Then you can eliminate a bunch of different avenues and find one that allows you to be good at it despite your shortcomings. Or, you can identify the areas you need to work on most in order to be a success at your chosen field.
For instance, let's say one of your known shortcomings is that you have trouble working under tight deadlines. If you want to use your creativity and aesthetic sensibility to be a graphic artist, you might have to overcome that particular shortcoming in order to be a success.

Sounds like you would be a very good editor of some sort.
I'm thinking things like a film editor, sound editor, web site editor, book editor or copy editor.
I'm a copy editor, and I spend a portion of my day reading and correcting newspaper and web site stories. Most of my day is spent doing layout and design for the newspaper, but I also get to build illustrations, write a blog and scour the Internet.
And don't think newspapers are just about trash ordinances and murder charges. They do a lot of interesting work.

Have you ever thought about industrial design? It is a mixture of mechanical engineer and an artist.
I believe I have the same qualities and I have chosen marketing as creativity is more important to me.

A science fiction author? An architect of high-concept computer games? Overlord of the universe?
Anyway, if you ever find out the best career for those attributes, let me know, because you've pretty much described me perfectly. And I'm still looking for the perfect career. The creativity thing is the toughest for me; if I'm not CREATING something at any given time I'm just not happy.
