Can I please just make a thread about him?
I think he is one of the most entertaining people ever to step on this planet, and I love it.
Keep it up Kadafi, I live vicariously through you.

For those of us less familiar with him, can you tell us about him or why you are interested in him in particular?

Kadafi is the de facto leader of Libya. He is a complete hot mess and does the absolutely most ridiculous things. He flew in prostitutes to the latest African Union assembly and while at the UN spoke for an hour and 36 minues while other delegates slept or left.

I truly hope I am not the only who finds humor in him.
Some quotes -
"God damn America"
"I am an international leader, the dean of the Arab rulers, the king of kings of Africa and the imam (leader) of Muslims, and my international status does not allow me to descend to a lower level"
"There are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe - without swords, without guns, without conquests. The 50 million Muslims of Europe will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades."
He also set up a tent while he was in NYC -

Just to clear up any confusion of my competence I've seen his name spelt Gaddafi and Kadafi, which is more official?

He's a legend.
He thinks just like an American - with a leaner, meaner act he could open for Cher should she ever tour again.
The man is certifiable. He deserves his own chapter in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. His speech Wednesday was incomprehensible, unorganized, and almost unbearable to watch. I ended up flipping the channel back and forth about a dozen times over the course of his 90 minute speech. If he wasn't the leader of a fairly dangerous, terrorist ridden country (and a member of the UN security council), I would find him incredibly entertaining and ridiculous, like a circus performer. Instead I just find it disturbing, and respresentative of how fu**ed p mankind has allowed the world to become (or remain).

Am I the only person who thinks it was NO accident that he spoke directly after P.Obama at the UN Debate?????????
The 'ol Good Cop/Bad Cop deal.
If you listened carefully to his complaints...he basically, forcefully reiterated what B.O. had gently derided.

For pure entertainment purposes, I think he ranks right up there with Robert Gibbs. You have to wonder if he really understands the words he says.

Has anybody heard about this? During Gaddafi's long speech at the UN, his personal interpreter collapsed of exhaustion. Link (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.)

Oh man do I love Kadafi! He's the closest thing the world has to a real life Bond villain. He is so over the top with everything he does. He walks around looking like some sort of flamboyant robed super hero and does/says the most insane things.Would you not love to stand in front of the U.N and just babble on for an hour and a half? Do you guys realize that he has an all female security force to take care of him? Living the dream Kadafi... living the dream.

Damn it - he stole my idea! I wonder if he's looking for interns? Henchmen, perhaps? :cheesy:

His wikipedia article has his name as Muammar al-Gaddafi.
He is truly one of the more interesting examples of a national leader.

When's he going to task his mask off? he looks silly.
i saw him on the news; sadly, i think it's tina fey made up. then i got to hear dennis miller take off on him. dennis made a good point...muhamare has been less feisty since they put a missile in his coleman tent. now he's the 'middle east moderate'; he's still stagey, though. i used to be certain that sodom hussein was walter matthau. i am even MORE certain that this is really tina fey in drag. great lines...belushi would be proud....if he weren't dead. belushi coulda done the part. the interpreter falling down and yelling 'i can't take it anymore!' was a great touch. that shoulder strap dint come from 'the gap'; looks more like it came from neiman mucus.
for what we pay for this theater, we should EXPECT great entertainment. i want to see muhamare bang this president or an ex-president's wife on a white house dinner table, and have it on youtube. carter's ol' lady would be perfect, in my opinion. tina as muhamare with a strap on bangin' jimmy would be even better...make him hold a peanut in his mouth.
