I'm inclined to agree with Mayor Newsom at the end of the article, but I wonder if he would hold the same opinion if he didn't want to run for the office of California Governor next year.

Agreed.

Compassion is a wonderful thing, but compassion must follow the laws - illegals must not be harbored/protected. Processed, assisted, entered into proper programs, sponsored, whatever, but refusing to follow the law is not the answer.

San Fran. was clearly a sanctuary city, so now it must deal with the consequences. Sad, tho, that 3 innocent people had to die (and this woman is now alone in life) in order to make the city think straight.
