He is one of my favorite historical characters, what exactly makes him an INTJ? Does anyone know?

I am fairly new with understanding INTJ, which suprised me that one of my favorite history characters shares the same type of Personality with me.

history says he covered his face with his toga and yielded when he saw that Brutus was a co-assassinator, but in "Rome" the series i was very amused by the surprised look on Caesar's face when Brutus et al stabbed him to death. it was a very INTJ moment that he did not see that coming. his expression seemed to say "what? i was only trying to help Rome by declaring myself emperor for life! what's not to like?"

i often encounter nonviolent microcosms of this situation with the intjs in my life.

You are thinking of Julius Caesar.

I am thinking of his Nephew Augustus, sorry for the confusion :)

Not a problem.

They throw out famous people on the list and I am wondering how they conclude that so and so is an INTJ.

I watched the entire three seasons of Rome in two weeks this winter break! Octavian does seem INTJ as portrayed in the series. I also visited the MET this winter break and they had a whole area devoted to art work from the period Octavian ruled. Really neat to put a face to the character. I'm going to read up on him this summer since there is so much to read!

I agree, I just ordered a book on him, and they did portray him very well in the INTJ format.

I recommend the series Masters of Rome by Colleen McCoullugh, if you are interested in a novelization of the Republic.

This just a really minor thing that I read a long time ago, but it's something that makes sense to me as an INTJ.

Augustus used to have three or four barbers cut his hair at once. It saved time, and how important is it to have nice hair? There are more pressing issues at hand than hair, like ruling the world's coolest empire, for example.
