View Full Version : Hello from future!

I ended up doing yet another mbti/jung test and ended up browsing pages and ended up here and found the intj-relationship discussion so interesting i decided to give the site a try.

I'm an arts student doing Master of Arts degree, and starting my PhD in January - maybe - in case i manage to finish my thesis about european fine arts in year 2060 in couple of months. Everything seems to be in order - except I havent written it down to paper or met the supervisors :)

Let's see if i'll end up hanging around here more or if it is just a quick give-a-try.

Hanging around here won't get your thesis done. Let me guess, you like to procrastinate?

Welcome aboard.

Well... I also ended up to international responsibilities and student politics... which bring most of my income until january. Income after that is a big question mark... you know, fine arts future studies isnt a super big hit in cash. We'll see..... maybe it is!

Welcome to the past that is disguised as the present which is actually the future.

In any case, welcome to the forum, mur.

Don't worry about that thesis, you have it done already, just not on paper. Aah, isn't that just like an INTJ.:)

LOVE the avatar

As I examined your avatar, I immediately connected with the notion of a lazy dog surrounded by partially eaten food. Not a "still life", not a portrait... all items interlocking, yet undeniably 2-dimensional!

I was so taken with it, I have created a version that women can put onto their fingernails; I know it will be a hit:

Are you yourself artistically inclined, or is it more of an academic degree.

And if you are artistically inclined, what kind of art do you create?

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome Finland! I'm in Canada this week but I live in Virginia (it's a state in the US). However, I'm seldom home because I travel for a living. In fact, I leave here and go directly to Florida for two weeks (after the hurricanes I hope).

Is your avatar a Finnish wallpaper border? Is the dog pregnant? Will we become friends in the future?

So many questions, so little time to finish advanced degrees. Enjoy!

ujmmm i have arts degree

maybe i shoudl copypaste my message from other message thread:

uh i cant.

maybe manually then:

I'd like to do visual arts, especially paintings, but I've been somehow drawn to performance and experimental music. I have BA degree in graphics, artistic and conceptual thinking involved there... And now i'm in Medialab doing experimental music and sound concerts. I'm making a jump to future of arts with futures studies research methods and hopefully end up to post-modern sculpturing (taking over spaces with installations. we'll see...)

Some photos from my lastest group installation in Reykjavík, Iceland:

A human mirror.. involved 2 dancers and 2 musicians and us, media artists too

I also make some other real time graphics generation stuff

and real time audio generation:

some drawings too

and so on :)

Since no one else said it, I'm going to.... You've "ended up" doing a lot of things, huh? Perhaps you've actually reached the "end" here.

Have fun and enjoy... or don't. Your end to write. Either way I like the pictures.

A very belated welcome, mur!

Actually, you're in the past now.

How's that thesis coming along? I've still got several years for mine. Very similar field, too. Economics. (Yes, I'm joking.)
