Another MBTI test. It's a bit hard to find so I'm posting it here for anyone who might be interested. This is a fairly long test that attempts to give strength of preference results.

Nah, I don't think that bottom part explains anything at all. Like they said, that's just an experiment added in that you shouldn't take seriously. Mine was ESTJ or INFP. :o

I can see where the S comes in- I like to learn things hand on, and I'm fairly audio-visual, but that's about where it ends.
As for the P, I'm very open minded and not judgmental about people- at least not when I first meet them. :)

1. I don't think so. I think the test author was experimenting with that section and it is highly unreliable. I don't think getting weird results down there means anything and I wouldn't bother overanalyzing it. I got ESTJ/INFP and there's no way I'm possibly either of those types. I'm curious what the test giver was trying to achieve though.

No, I really think it's just a flawed experiment. Even the author admitted the results at the bottom were highly unreliable. Otherwise, I have to call the author's credibility into question because there aren't any times that I turn into an ESTJ. Though if I try hard enough, I could find a few sparse traits I share with any type.

yes i do acknowledge that it is experimental and it would be nonsensical to build ideas on unstable ground however, this is quite a personal reflection on my part. the moment i got the esfj as per result, jung's concept of shadow came into mind coz of all mbti's most esfj's piss me off. so i guess just a conincidence in my life... errr

Seems to me the biggest problem with the supplementary results is his classification of rational vs a-rational. So I'm confused. It told me that I am an ENTJ, and that I may not be an ENTJ. How does it figure I could be an INFP?? It seems to imply something about shared functions, and then it somehow translates sharing of such into being those types possibly? I believe that this just about settles my mind that I am an INTJ rather than an INTP. I found that this test was more thorough than most are, the questions about changing/sticking to plans were helpful. I absolutely hate it when people deviate from a set plan and don't do exactly what they say they are going to do. And finally I do believe that I only saw one result where the supplementary questions actually agreed with the results so it is safe to say that they are not accurate.

Ditto, I get INTP on about a 20% of my tests, including this one. Thing is, if I had gotten an INTP on the first test, the description of INTP was so inaccurate that the entire system would have seemed like palm-reading or tarot cards to me.

yeah same, I do have a lot of P traits. It wasn't until i got my current job that I realised just how J I really am. I was in denial about some of it. on the functions test my ne and ni and te adn ti are within a couple points of each other too. I really do use the ti and te and ne and ni about equally. but the Intj portion of personality is slightly more expressed.

*sigh* Truthfully I still go back and forth on this. While I can see much more of myself in the INFP definitions, I almost always test stronger in what is traditionally considered J. I really don't understand how I can test so high in J and also test as Ne-Fi. While I understand that the J/P thing doesn't really mean orderly/disorderly, it seems that they should partially match up.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm mistyped. I've tested ENTP alot lately. Which is kinda wierd since I usually test as INTJ on most of the online tests I've found. ISTP descriptions actually make alot of sense to me, ENTP would work to if I was more extroverted. I had preferences for INTP when I started testing, but my J/P was so close so it was hard for me to decide. Guess I'll have to reevaluate my MBTI-type.

I was a little surprised that my E/I and T/F were so close. In the past, my S/N and J/P were closer to each other than my E/I and T/F. Interesting.

I think this has something to do with giving certain answers more "weight" than others. (E.g. When answering questions where I was asked to describe my behavior around a group of people, I might answer that I would behave "this way" "strongly. But that particular question wouldn't have taken into consideration the fact that I would rarely be with a group of people and thus would not act "this way" very often in reality.)
