I like this website (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.) more, because I'm tired and I don't feel like answering 107 questions when I can't think...

Then make a thread for the other test. :)

Actually, I like this website alot. Ok so far, I had been in the INTJ 3x, INTP 1x, INFJ 1x; in conclusion, it does not matter, I'm still considered rare, lol. Nothing has changed, yeppie for me.

The multiple intelligence test seems kind of stupid. Eg. having a song in ones head doesn't necessarily mean that one is musically intelligent.

Can somone explain what the shadow bars indicate on the chart. *I imagine it shows a range. *The shadow region seems to correspond to my J-ness.
Is it how far we vacilate to the other side? *I am starting to understand that I might react or interpert different situations inconsistent with my personality type. *I guess we all can't be the same all the time.
I don't understand what kind of personality shifts from P to J. *MY INT is pretty well fixed, so does this mean that I am a INTjP or something like that?
Does everyone carry both sides in them?

Wow, my J went way up. I guess that's not surprising though. I've had a TON of change in the last year, and I know it changed me a lot. I know that large, life-changing events can affect people's personality types, but I didn't think I became *that* J, but when I consciously look at my patterns and habits now, I am. Interesting.

This is the website that first introduced me to MBTI, and so I have taken the test many times (until I researched beyond it). It almost always gives me INTj or INTp, and I myself am not totally sure which one I am (the reason I am INTx is because I'm almost always absolutely positive that I am one or the other...but I flip flop a lot).

100% introverted and you consider yourself an XNTP? why?
My behavior and personality is very much more ENTP'ish than INTP'ish despite me being pretty Introvert.
Ne is my most used function and Si is pretty lacking (not just based on the test, but in general my Ne runs wild).
The cognitive process test (at To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.) turned out like this.
Ne(49.5)- Ni(43.4)- Ti(37.1) - Fi(25.6) - Se(24.2) - Te(23.9) - Fe(23.2) - Si(13.7)
I consider myself sort of an introverted ENTP, regardless of how ridiculous it may sound.

ENTP..I've taken a few various tests. I tend to get a borderline P/J score, and a mid-low E. That really depends on my mood though. I'd consider myself more of an NT omnivert that knows when the time to work is, and when the time is right to screw off.

While I think the Gardner's "multiple intelligences" theory has the right idea, the different "intelligences" that he chose seem pretty arbitrary. For example, "Naturalist" is an interest, not an intelligence. In addition, he seems to have created his own (broad) definition of "intelligence" - I would call the "bodily/kinesthetic" and "musical" categories, for example, skills rather than intelligences. Not to say that I think those talents are any less valuable than the others, but changing the definition of intelligence to be more politically correct seems unnecessary. That said, I think the emphasis on different talents belonging to different people and the focus away from a single measure of intelligence (such as IQ) are nice, and needed, ideas. If I were to categorize intelligence, I would separate it into "Logical," "Linking/Holistic," "Factual," "Practical," "Verbal/Linguistic," "Self-Knowledge/Introspective," and "Insight/Wisdom," although a few of those categories would be fairly difficult to measure.
As for the MBTI portion of the test, it doesn't seem quite as accurate to me as a few of the others. I would have pinned myself as a bit more perceiving (maybe around 70% J, 30% P). A problem with this test is that it doesn't have a "neither" option. As an example, one of the questions was "I prefer someone who is a) empathetic or b) efficient." While I prefer myself to be more efficient as opposed to empathetic, I don't have any preferences either way regarding others; it really depends on the individual.

Uh... I wonder why you put "INFP" as your type though... hmmmm....
Because by reading the descriptions I think that INFP suits me a whole better than INTP. I have almost all the traits of INTP, I am one of the most logical persons I know but also one of the most empathetic.

Pretty accurate. But I took that ages and ages ago. I wonder if my results would change if I took it again? I think it was about a year ago I took it. ;_; So many tests seem to place me about 50/50 F and T. I've been typed as INTP before. =S
Though really, my F is as strong as it gets. ^^
I'd say that in actuality my F is about 95%, it's only due to the nature of the questions on most of the tests that I come out with a weak F.

I always wonder when a lot of people get very strong preferences for almost every function. It makes me think that many are taking the test based on pre-conceived notions of type, as opposed to how they really are.

Ugh, mistyped me (as INTP) and typed me as being extreme, which I am very much NOT. All of my letters except maybe N are fairly moderate, but my INT were all 89 or higher.
Then again, I feel terrible today, so that may have something to do with it.
Hm, retook it after reviving some. This time I ended up even more I and N, but less T and 3% more J than P. That's closer.

patobrocks, if you dig around the net, you will find some folks who go into great detail on the mbe. a few i have read put forth the theory that we all slide back and forth on axes from time to time; some say this is good for us. one or two claim that the axes are interlocked, i.e., if you are using your i heavily, you may have a tendency to use your n with it; or if you are using you e heavily-being forced to in a business situation, you may have to turn on your f to compensate for the different situation...lots to read on it, lots of theories...just another system to classify. none of us are 'in the box' and stuck there as far as i can see. once in awhile, i can actually do 'nurturing' lol!

ORIGINAL POST: I do not believe it is the most accurate assessment but it's close enough I suppose. I was extremely surprised by how strong my judging tendencies trumped my perceiving tendencies. I have always scored borderline on other personality tests. I also thought it odd that my Visual/Spatial Intelligence was only 55% whereas my Verbal/Linguistic was 75%. I have often seen them reversed. Just a curiosity. I know they are not meant to be 100% accurate. I'll test again when I'm in a different mood and see how it turns out. What is really strange is that I am in an unusually friendly/happy mood right now.

The exact numbers are always a little different but it's always been INTJ.
I took it three times, changing the answers on the questions that I was unsure of, or that could go either way. And the result has been the same all three times, with only a minor change in one of the numbers (my N varied from 58-84 percent).
