I was thinking about this when I was trying to dream up more ideas for classes I would like to take...
I'm a geology major but I'm mainly interested in how other fields merge with earth science: how our thinking about the earth has changed as culture changed, how earth processes were modified by biological processes, how natural disasters influenced history, how landforms shaped the course of war. It took me years to get back to school, partly because I didn't know what to major in. I didn't like anything in particular--just how they affected each other. It reminds me of this quote from one of the INTJ profiles: "their preferred time and place are the interval and the intersection."
I know I'm so into design because it brings different fields together. To design an interactive aquarium exhibit I had to know something about engineering, graphic design, marine life, and writing. This is the best!!
What I don't know is whether other INTJs are more drawn to the intersections between subjects than they are to particular subjects.
