:Fun, you say? Could you spell that for me? :p

I love to get out on the water- skating, snowshoeing, or swimming and sailing, canoeing. There's something about that wide open space that is still pretty unconquered and unpredictable. But even just being outdoors and active is something I love

Or... researching, writing it up. Chinese checkers...

Wow, I need to get more hobbies etc :stunned:

And yourself? Other than eating and drinking, what does "merry" entail?

Reading, drawing, roleplaying, playing video games, watching anime, cooking, knitting...I think that's about it.

I do lots of random things because I don't seem to have the attention span to stick with one thing for a long time. I read, write, critique other people's writing (yes, I consider that fun... lol), poke and nuzzle my pet mouse, build experimental houses on The Sims 2 (computer game), read/research on the subjects of health/nutrition/diet and science/technology, play literati/scrabble, cook or bake, and draw. That's normally... every so often I'll go to the beach, see a movie, go shopping, have dinner elsewhere, or or go to some random event.

My all time favorite activity that I never tire of? Star gazing. It always begins with locating the North Star, next the constellations Cassiopeia and Perseus, then Comet 17P Holmes. I also try to figure out whether that one dipper I always see is the Big one or the Little one. It's been a decade and I still can't tell!

Wow, typing that all out makes my life seem dull...

Bowling, photography, driving, activities centered around music (concerts, friends' bands, karaoke) and enjoying a good brew with friends. I'm also looking into joining a kickball or dodgeball league at the local community college.

Hmm, where to start.

I enjoy getting relatively lost. Hiking in the park, snow shoeing in the forest, sidewalk wanderlust walking in a new city or taking the less traveled roads on a trip. Typically this leads me to really think deeply about a whole myriad of things. I've found I really enjoy doing photography while on these endeavors and later doing some writing to cement my thoughts.

I've found I enjoy indulging my senses when I'm out to have fun, typically I don't. Cooking new foods, tasting wines, listening to music that isn't mainstream, looking at art, being touchy with some people.

Playing games, typically only when they're strategy oriented; dominoes, chess, RTS video games, some gambling games.

I enjoy reading and learning new ideas and perspectives. I'll go and listen to public forums, education activities or spoken word poetry. My reading is almost exclusively non-fiction. I really can't get into fiction other than in form of movies.

I read a lot, and I write things (not that any of them are much good), and I sing and play the piano and listen to music and watch films and go for long walks. Singing's the number one, though. I really, really love it.

Ditto.
Any outdoor activities, plus writing, reading (anything and everything), videogames, cards (Euchre ftw!).

Lets see, driving someplace different, or taking a different route getting there, chess, INTJ forum (of course), I have a strange passion for fixing up/driving old pickup trucks, reading about new information, Euchre (if I can find four people who actually know how to/want to play), and pretty much whatever will take my mind of the drudgeries of everyday life.

Yes! Euchre FTW! I thought it was only an Ohio thing. or midwest thing. Apparently, eh I don't know.

What I do for fun? I do like card games, sudoku, reading, going outdoors and relaxing. I ride horses.

I play tennis during the school year (on the team). During the school year I mainly read for fun, and even that I don't get much done. Every once in awhile I'll go to a concert if I have time. Oh, I'm also in the American Chemical Society Student Affiliates group here at my college. We do some fun activities. Really, tennis and schoolwork and any other little thing takes up all my time. I'm going to try to go over to a friend's a few times this semester just to pretend I go out to do something aside from study/research/class/play tennis. She's a chem major...which is how I know her...

Gaming, Sleep. Discovery Channel, Dilbert, TV (provided I'm not loaded up with homework, which is the whole school semester)

and maybe, looking up something interesting, or posting an interesting opinion, occasionally planning.

Has anyone had one of their parents call them boring? I have.

I'm still figuring out what I do for fun.

It used to be installing new operating systems, but that gets tiring after a decade or so! (BeOS was fun on its own, even without appplications!)

I've realized all my hobbies follow a pattern:
Weightlifting - single-person activity, goal-directed
Reading technical material - single-person activity, goal-directed
Programming - single-person activity, goal-directed
Writing - single-person activity, goal-directed

It's no wonder I've been fighting depression. Even my play is work! I'm fixing this NOW.

I enjoy mini golf and, recently, the little go karts you can race around on a track, with friends.

1. Joking, making fun about serious things
2. Creating alternate (absurd) stories to serious events
3. Mountain Bike (falling and crashing is fun)
4. Swimming
5. Inventing alternate lyrics (while singing) LIVE hearing the song. This was hilarious at work.
6. Watching youtube auditions videos
7. Live translating...: watching people on a distance and create alternate speeches for each one while they work. This is hilarious.
8. Watch dubbed versions of movies on youtube...
