Hello, I just wanted to say hi as I'm new to the forum. I've known about my personality for some time now, and after (unsuccessfully) trying to change it for many years, I've decided to just embrace it. Hence, my being here. I'm from Massachusetts, by the way.

Greetings, beautiful doll.
Your avatar is lovely; is it you? Did you draw it?

Thank you Monte314. Yes, I did draw it and it is me. Self portraits are a specialty of mine lately. Too much time in the house in front of the mirror I guess! Are you Greek or you just speak Greek?

I read Koine Greek, not modern Greek, so that I can study the New Testament.
Welcome, Koukla!
Embracing is a good thing. Trying to change your MBTI type through sheer will is like trying to change your sexual orientation, or your taste in foods.
Check out the forum reference guide here (http://intjforum.com/faq.php?faq=guide). It has a summary of what type of posting is, and is not, allowed/encouraged on the forum. I recommend looking at it to avoid ridicule, post deletion, and possibly death.
If you're looking for more info than that, you can read almost everything you need to know about the forum here (http://intjforum.com/faq.php), and a few more miscellaneous questions about forum features are answered by this thread here (http://intjforum.com/showthread.php?t=11698).
Please, enjoy!

Rudy is kidding about death, I think.
No need to change your personality, all you need to do is learn to use some of the other letters a bit more and you are good to go. So what else are you interested in besides art?

Hi Synamon, nice to meet you.
I think I am fairly good at being able to use the other letters, as I work in customer service (on phones no less) and I always have to be "affirming" and upbeat/cheery, etc. I do find this exhausting though, so in my own personal life I barely get out at all. I think if I got a quieter job, this might be improved.
Besides art, I am interested in finance and investing, starting my own business (it will be to do with my art, but it is still a seperate category), and general self improvement. This "self improvement" category was to do with changing my personality, so I'm going to replace that with "analyzing my personality" for now!

You have come to the right place for that "analyze my personality" part, the forum is a great resource.
The interest in finance and investing should come in handy for starting your own business. Often people have the dream and the passion, but no business skills to get the idea off the ground. Best of luck.

Rudy must also be kidding about embracing being good...unless you are my significant other or my child. Otherwise keep your distance.
I used to have a job similar to yours. I didn't know why it was so exhausting until I understood my personality better. I had to move on. I couldn't handle having kids at home and talking to idiots all day.

Hey, whaddayaknow. Another Greek INTJ. Welcome to the forum. :)

Thank you Imposcillator. Many people in my family are INTJ so I guess it's in our (Greek) blood.

You're welcome, and in case it wasn't clear the way I phrased it, I meant I'm Greek as well. Too bad I only know two Greek INTJs offline. :)

I worked in sales for 2 years and that was exhausting. I couldn't imagine being "trapped" on the phone with people every workday.
Welcome, and we can assist with your self-analysis - there are lots of (self-proclaimed) experts here on the forum (and a couple of real ones too).

Luckily, my manager has realized this about me and she gets me scheduled a couple of hours a day to do tax spreadsheets, citing my attention to detail.
