YASQ - Yet Another Subscription Question

WHen you reply to a new thread (or to an old one that you haven't posted to before), the "Thread Subscription" is set to "No email notification" which means - I want to subscribe to the thread, but I don't want an email when new messages are posted.

The problem is, I don't want to subscribe to the thread, I just want to post. Having to go back and unsubscribe is a PITA. I haven't found where to set the default for this (or can I?)

1. Go to User CP
2. Select Edit Options
3. In the Messaging & Notification section, there is a drop down menu for the default thread subscription mode. If you don't want to automatically subscribe to threads, select 'Do not subscribe'.

You may still subscribe to individual threads by selecting 'Subscribe to this Thread' in the 'Thread Tools' menu at the top of each thread.
