Bill Nye had the science down pat, and was the ultimate science show, Beakman's world was more of a "magic trick" show it seemed at times. I watched both as a kid, but there's a special spot in my memory for Bill Nye.

I liked Beakman's World because it was humorous. But, Bill Nye was a REAL scientist. As far as I know Beakman was just an actor. I liked and watched them both, but Bill Nye gets my vote. Science Rules! Bill Bill Bill Bill.....

Bill's is still sexier, it's more in fashion.
(I wanna lab coat...heck when I get one I'll be the one to wear it in the lab even if we're lax about them)

Can you believe it?
He's 52 now...
He certainly doesn't look/sound it.

Ooo, I love Alton Brown and Bill Nye. I grew up with Bill Nye, I've watched him before I was the ripe old age of 5.
I must admit, Alton does get my gears-a turnin'. He can brake down and analyze my body anyday.

Bill Nye? Never heard of him.
I grew up watching old reruns of Beakman which I used to tape regularly. I think I still have those lying around somewhere...

Bill Nye for me. I also love Alton Brown. Good Eats is a great show. I wish cable was around when I was a kid. Alton could have saved me from a few cooking disasters.

I have to go beakman because that was the only show we got over here. Though we had other local alternatives that I can't quite remember just at the moment.
