Hi guys.

I just stumbled across this (imho) great site about how to improve social skills. I could perfectly see myself fitting the profile.

This site was created by i back then 25 year old average geek / nerd. And describes his experiences techniques on how he became a more socially confident person.

Well I just thought for those of you interested in becoming socially better beings this site might be of interest. Please let me know what you think of it. Personally I have been looking for a site like this for ages and now finally by accident discovered it.

Seems kind of vague. Wouldn't the beginners it claims to be focused on be the most in need of specifics?

haha Blueback, you sound like an expert, care to lecture a little on what they don't cover? ;)

I did. Well, I talked about the theory. The topic seemed unwelcome on this board so I stopped posting about it.

Oh right that, I read it and it sounds practical but unfortunately that topic degenerated into a big argument.
Maybe you could repackage it in a way that's more gender-non-specific (I can't find the right word).

Eh, that would be hard and unnecessarily limiting. Men and women are different, therefore, advice on social interaction must be different.

That's quite unfortunate then. I myself never had a problem with the topic.

Lol, I am too stubborn to go about conforming to social rites. But I will read it in case it is useful in the future.

You know, blueback, it is not really specific, but several introverts I know swing back and forth between being 'above it all' and depressed and discouraged. Seems perfect for an INFJ. It's understanding enough for the depressed loser, and it's practical advice for the self-important loser. (disclaimer: not all of us without social lives are losers)
