I'm terrible at coming up with good phrases and titles. I need to come up with some better words for the default user titles. Right now the default is 'Forum Member'. Yeah, it's awful, it looks like this for everyone who doesn't change it:

Member
Forum Member

Anyone want to try coming up with something that sounds cooler/makes more sense?

P.S. Remember, this is only changing the default title for members who are either too lazy or don't care about changing it. Everyone will still be able to make their own.

Let's call them slothes ;D

Actually, that's not such a bad idea. I would think alot of people might just leave them (myself included) if they weren't very insulting.

Okay then, how about "Too lazy to change my user title." :P

hmmm, how about 'ESFJ' ? That would probably prompt all INTJs to change it hahaha.

 HAHAHA!

Yeah, Guido, that motivate them!

To be honest though, it's not so much that I care whether or not members change it but the annoyance of seeing this:

Member
Forum Member

Member....Forum Member. Ugh.

We need an "F" for this job.
They're good at stuff like that.

We can figure this out :D

First off, what's it purpose?

Are you only responding now because The Rose claimed Fs would be better at this? :suspicious:

Some people like to put a custom title that will appear by their avatar. It can be a personal message, title, whatever they want. What I need is something generic that doesn't look too stupid if people decide not to change it, because I have to fill out a default in the control panel.

Member...Forum Member doesn't make sense. I need a phrase that could apply to the typical member.

For lack of a better word... yes o.0 I figured this would get solved fairly quickly as it's very trivial. But since we're talking about Fs stepping in... it's time to sort this out :D My vote is to have the default caption blank, that way people can fill it in with something later if they want to, and it doesn't look to stupid. I think this fits your description.

That's what I originally tried to do, but the forum software won't allow me to leave it blank or only use spaces in the control panel.

But I actually like this idea so much that I'll see if there's a way around it.

I just realized that's not what you're looking for.

What's wrong with "forum member"?

What's wrong with "forum member"?
1. it sounded weird/stupid because it was right underneath the word "member"
2. it didn't make sense

But none of that matters anymore because I fixed it. What was wrong? I overlooked a setting in the CP. Go figure.

This issue is settled, resolved, and over with ;D

Because of the animal we resolved to use as a representative of INTJ's (robots)

We could go with:
Machine
Drone
Robot
Sonny

;D

Or we can be lazy and just replace "member" with "participant"

EDIT: I just realized i'm late with this brilliant idea. But brilliant nonetheless the idea is =]

Well, this was about the user titles (confusing name, but it's what board calls them, not my idea!) under the avatar, which is different from the member positions. I was just going to leave the uninspired member positions as they are. Heh, my creativity doesn't apply when it comes to words, titles and fancy catch phrases.
