Hi everyone,

Like lotsa people, I've been interested in personality types ever since I first heard 'bout them. But even with all the personality descriptions available on the net (some for a low low price of just $49.95), there is still something I've found missing from all of them - the gritty details. I mean, here's how a typical personality description will sound:

Introvert: You need private time to recharge. It doesn't mean you are anti-social.
Extravert: You feel energized in the company of others. You excite everyone around you.
Intuition: You are intuitive. You are good at "reading between the lines" and connecting the possibilities. You see the big picture more than the details.
Sensing: You are here and now. You are keenly in tune with your five senses. You pragmatically start with the facts of what you see and hear and move up to the big picture.
Thinking: You approach life logically. You are not swayed by emotion.
Feeling: You are great with emotions. You are very aware of how other people feel.
Judging: You are prone to decisive action. You are task oriented.
Perceiving: You like to remain flexible and are always open to new information. You avoid making irreversible decisions.

See what I mean? It's all so clinical and ........positive. Where's the beef? I'm far more interested in personality hazards, pitfalls and all the juicy details. It's missing the very real and very widespread unpleasantness in people (after all, isn't that why we truly have personality profiles? To help us deal with one and another?). So I've come here asking you guys to brainstorm up some new personality descriptions. C'mon, it'll be fun!

I'm looking for personality descriptions that can answer questions like:
Which personality type is most likely to:
be a litter-bug?
serial-cheat on their partners?
to do a hit'n'run?
to make up the majority of prison inmates?
to make up the majority of a snarling, pitchfork-waving mob?
treat a waiter like crap if they've had a bad day?
pick their nose and eat it?
be part of an orgy involving at least four people at least once in their lives?
poison their neighbours cat for defecating in their yard?
to be an angry drunk?
become a vegetarian?
become a hermit?

...You get the idea. I'm really interested in this and I figure the INTJ crowd will give the most accurate answers (apparently you are honest about what you know and what you don't, and rely more on logic than emotion).
So post away, even if you do just 1 of the 16 types, I'd be interested.

Thanks.

I think there are statistics on those things somewhere (for instance, INTPs are least likely to be religious), but there's no use trying to find specifics for that in MBTI. Even within INTJ, people can be very different in outlook from each other, even if their mental processing is the same.

hahaha I loved that...thanks for the link!

And yes, after reading every site that tells me that I'm cold and calculating in different words, it's nice to have a laugh! (cause I am SO not cold and calculating. well...not ALWAYS.)

I'll give it a whirl ;)

be a litter-bug? : (SP types)
serial-cheat on their partners? (E__P types)
to do a hit'n'run? (Probably no specifics)
to make up the majority of prison inmates? (ESTPs and ISTPs. Easily.)
to make up the majority of a snarling, pitchfork-waving mob? (ES_J types)
treat a waiter like crap if they've had a bad day? (E_S_ types)
pick their nose and eat it? (ISTP, INTP :P)
be part of an orgy involving at least four people at least once in their lives? (ESFP and ESTP :P)
poison their neighbours cat for defecating in their yard? (ISTP/ESTP :P)
to be an angry drunk? (ST types)
become a vegetarian? (NFP types)
become a hermit? (INTPs)

That one site made me laugh. I heard from my INFP friend that her type is the most likely to commit suicide.

---> From the site: Good INTJ music: Whatever they damn well feel like. Don't mess with it, and leave the volume control alone.

LMAO! Got that right!

The site was hilarious Yes. No one touches my volume control. I'll crack my eardrums if it pleases me. :D

That is pretty funny stuff.

He (or she) lists "people who WrItE LiKe ThIs On ThEiR WeB PaGeS" as SPs.

hahaha.

Although I wouldn't call the ESTPs harmless...a bored ESTP is pretty problematic!

I notice you don't have INTJ in there. I could see me poisoning my neighbors cat for taking a dump in my yard though. ;)
