If Mods are going to delete posts or sanitize the threads is it possible for us to be notified of which rule was abused for future reference?

The majority of the time, the only unannounced posts that get deleted are fluff or one-liners in inappropriate threads (rule #2). Not that we even delete all of these. It depends on context and the subforum it was posted in. For example, it'll probably be left alone in a Lounge thread, but deleted from a serious debate thread. Aside from this, I can only think of a few instances where personal attacks were deleted but it wasn't bad enough to justify a warning, although in the future I intend to notify of all personal attacks that are bad enough to be deleted since the occurrences have been becoming more frequent lately. Members who make thought out posts that get deleted for other reasons will be notified (and as far as I know, none of these have ever been deleted without notification).

Aside from ShaiGar's workout thread (in which I publicly announced the reason for mass deleting posts), the only post that has been deleted by a moderator from you said nothing but "oops". Looked like a mistake post, so we deleted it. We come across these all the time and notifying each member by PM for these kinds of posts deletions is an unrealistic workload for me to expect of the moderators, and would typically take more thought than the member put into the post in the first place.

If any member has a question about why a post was deleted or thinks it was done in error, PM me about it and I'll take a look for you.

Now you say that I see the thread I was looking for just came onto the New Posts and I had confused it with another one that is very similar, sorry... I'm a tad paranoid it seems.

Okay then, I'll consider this resolved.
