- Top fit was INTJ. (83%)
- Second was INTP. (82%)
- Third was INFJ. (79%)
- Fourth was ENTP. (76%)
- Fifth was INFP. (73%)
- Sixth was ENFP. (71%)
- Seventh was a shocking ISTP, which reminded me of this thread. (61%)
- Eighth was ENTJ. (56%)

My lowest eight, in order from lowest: ESFP (I severely dislike them, too) (25%), ESFJ (same here, different reasons) (26%), ESTP (father) (ditto) (29%), ISFJ (mother) (they irk me for a variety of reasons, but I can't bring myself to dislike them too much because they're so giving of themselves yet quiet about it) (32%), ESTJ (35%), ISTJ (I was once quite insulted by someone that said I was this type because his girlfriend, who claims to be an INTJ, isn't like me... Actually, she's the ISTJ) (37%), ENFJ (among Ns, this is the only type I don't get along with) (47%), and ISFP (52%).

Interesting. According to that test, the NTs are all in my top 4, along with the ISTP which tied for 4th place. INTP only missed tying with INTJ by 2%. ESTJ and ISTJ both made it in my top 8... I've been accused of being an ISTJ before, too.

They even tell you at the end, their results aren't accurate and they say they're not even nearly as accurate as the MBTI test.
I scored as an ISTJ or an ISTP, but I guess I've always thought I was an IXTX, which is what an ISTP is according to this...

I just took a test that told me that I was an ISTJ and this one tells me that I am a
INTP. I think I'll just stick to the Myer's Briggs results. Anyone who knows me knows that I hate suprises. I like having a certain amount of time to figure out what I am going to do and how I am going to do it. I am pretty sure I am a Judging type. I also don't understand how I could get an E as a third place result. Some of the statements seemed irrelevant to one another. I don't think the test is really accurate.

I found this test to be stupid however, because I had to center most of the sliders since I feel they are not necessarily opposed, or even in the same spectrum for some! it is also incredibly short, quite meaningless, IMO.

I hated the questionnaire, but the results page made up for it in my eyes. The questions were too balanced. Instead of asking whether you like apples or oranges, it often asked whether you like rome apples or gala apples. I liked that it gave a very spread out result though, showing various placements in all of the personality types.

Right now i'm really looking for a test that can give some indication of preferred functions (Ni Te Fi Se etc) because i'm questioning whether my functions are standard for INTJ. If anybody knows where to find one feel free to share! :D

I have barely any J in me at all.

Also because of the questions - e.g. building a more appreciative atmosphere amongst friends vs figuring out for myself how something works... O.o

Believe me, I really have more ENTJ and ISTJ than INFP. Though, being an INFP wouldn't be so bad...I would probably take that over ISTJ.

Fi - 9My list sounds about right. I know I'm an I, but I pull off a believable E and it's something I've been working on. I also know my J is only slightly stronger than my P so no surprise INTP made 3rd. The type dynamics are interesting, I've never really looked at them before since I wasn't sure how to determine them. I notice my T's and N's are interspersed, but appear at the top. I also notice between the last N and the first S is 5 point drop whereas the Ti, Te, Ne, Ni all fit within 6 points of each other. Seems like my N's and T's are really strong, but there's a huge drop off once I start hitting the S's F's. I read the type dynamics description and it was very enlightening. My high Te and Ti make me a systems builder which is actually one of the things I do best. The Ni being near the top confirms my ability to pull stuff out of the air. The low Se means I miss short term items and the low Fi means I barely pay attention to my own feelings. Too true, too true.

Interesting, these functions come out similar to the cognitive process test I did before, except I found the other test to be weighted to Te much more (it came out as my dominant function which is why it typed me as INTP as did many other INTJs who took that test). My Ni and Ne on that one were identical and I had a high Fi and Ti on it which correlates to this test as well.

Hey, I haven't been around here much lately... but just did that MMDI test...I am becoming slightly unsure of my INTJ-ness...mainly because any cognitive process type test always points me up as having a really high Fi, and having Ni as my strongest ... and usually type me INFJ or INFP.
Other tests that don't show the processes always peg me as INTJ or INTP.
I think it may be how the questions are asked - I do think I have much more active feeling functions than the results of the ordinary tests suggest I do... but my feeling is very much centred inward - so when they ask "I am extremely sentimental", " I value compassion over analytical reasoning" etc I answer No - because I don't in the external world... I do react to things internally from an emotional perspective but not a gooey sentimental one....

I think it is because strong introverts (myself included) test higher on the introverted function of each pair. So your Xi are higher than your Xe.

In your case your extroverted function of your dominant function (N) tests as your highest extroverted function but that can't be your auxiliary function, so the next highest extroverted one is (Te). Hope that makes sense, the word function is in that sentence fifteen times. ;D

Comparison with MMDI Basic Report
In the MMDI Basic Report your pattern most closely matched that of INFP. The dominant function-attitude of an INFP is Fi, and the auxiliary function-attitude is Ne. My top two were INTP and INTJ. Looking at my scores and those of others, it seems pretty likely that this test is going to increase the incidence of S, F, and P preferences—and maybe significantly increase them.

Now I wouldn't be shocked to find out that I was "really" an INTP or an INFJ, and I'd be perfectly delighted to be either one. And so I don't think I'd just be personalizing my reaction to my results if I said that this test wasn't really very good at all.

I don't think that test is very accurate. They even tell you at the end, their results aren't accurate and they say they're not even nearly as accurate as the MBTI test.
I scored as an ISTJ or an ISTP, but I guess I've always thought I was an IXTX, which is what an ISTP is according to this...

I also scored as an ISTP/ISTJ. However, I find this is based on how the questions were asked. Yes, I knew what to pick to make myself score as an INTJ, but the way the questions were posed was functionally based. As a person making decisions in life, I have to practicalize my mind and thus wind up seeming like an ISTP as far as what I do in life.

Which, by the way, I think is awesome to find out. As for all the types, ISTP and ISTJ are very practical applications for me to have developed. Yay me.

This test was quite short, so I was surprised that it came up with the "correct" answer for my probable type (INTJ), which I have scored very consistantly on actual Myers-Briggs tests before.
The second to highest choice, INTP does fit me relatively well but needless to say INTJ does make the best fit for my personality. I got ISTJ and I kind of agree with most of this profile (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.) from a different page, although not with the functional analysis.
What I found confusing though is the design of the test, as it contrasts two totally unrelated things and asks you which one you agree with more. I found it really hard sometimes, because if it had been two seperate questions, my answers would have been different. Also, their scales don't have a middle.
Normally, I take the test by humanmetrics and most of the time I test as INTJ, occasionally as ISTJ. While I agree with the idea, that people can have more than one type or that no one is 100% this or that, I'm not sure what to make of the above test.
What do you guys think? Do you get radically different results on this one than on other tests?

I find looking at Jungian Cognitive functions (which is the foundation in which MBTI is built upon) to be more accurate in determining type.

EDIT:

I took it and got INTP. I do generally score low in J so I'm probably a bit INTPish but after having met real INTP's and even just reading their comments in this forum I'm definitely an INTJ as I find real INTP's think in a very different manner than I do.

So yeah, I don't think this test is all that accurate.

How does that work?

Basically there are four main functions. S/N and F/T. These functions determine how one processes and acts upon information and stimuli. This exists independent of behavior and interests.

Furthermore each function can be introverted or extroverted and so we get 8 functions. Ni/Ne, Si/Se, Ti/Te, and Fi/Fe. Now everybody has all 8 of these functions but generally we only use about four most of the time. One dominant one, one that is auxiliary, one tertiary, and one that is inferior. A large part of life is learning to develop the tertiary and inferior functions.

So for INTJs we have:

Dominant: Introverted Intuition
Auxilliary: Extraverted Thinking
Tertiary: Introverted Feeling
Inferior: Extraverted Sensing

I have found it to be one of the most accurate descriptions of the various functions. If you find it really describes how you think and process information and your psyche then you are very likely an INTJ.

This test overrates my similarity to sensing types, and if I were to correct for how the passage of time has changed my answers to S/N questions (and make some other adjustments as well), I might get something like the following rankings: INTP, INFP, INTJ, ENTP, ISTP, INFJ, ISFP, ISTJ, ENFP, ISFJ, ESTP, ENTJ, ENFJ, ESFP, ESTJ, ESFJ.
