I'm not very comfortable with that. Moreover there are like 2 or 3 times more guests than users.I can imagine already various psychology students analyzing every our message...I must be paranoyed

I don't really care about it. Then again, I'm not quite as private as some others...

Well, I contribute to the guest list but that's because I peruse these forums while working (don't need to be logging in and forgetting to log out now :scared: ) so that accounts for 1.

Often those 'guests' become members after they see the quality of posts here. Not offering that will reduce the number of people showing up drastically.

There are sections of the forum which are member only.

If you're not happy about having people see certain things you've posted on the forum, don't post it. Simple

Pretty much what he said... we need guests to convert into members, and not many people want to become a member of a forum they can't see first. If we don't have guests turning into members, the board will grow stale and possibly die. Another thing to consider is that search engines are our number one source of traffic. If they don't have any text to crawl, we won't have nearly as many people finding the forum in the first place.

We do have a member's only section for posts members don't want others to see though. If there is enough activity in these areas

edit: ...I might be willing to add more.

Heh, I forgot to finish my sentence... and the other paragraph I was going to write (see below). Maybe I shouldn't post at work. :P

I can understand how feel, but for me personally I would not have joined this forum without spending my time to check the quality of posts.

The number of guests always looks bigger than it really is. Keep in mind that many of those "guests" are search engine bots rather than real people. Yahoo likes to bring in an army of them at a time (I can tell by the IP), and they're pretty much always hanging out.

Fine by me, since they know INTJ are part of the rarity types. So need to see what are they talking about? How come, INTJ hurt my feelings? How to know INTJ guide for non-INTJ's? INTJ's are the best, so let me go check. On and On... If its for study, its all cool * We are humans with personality, not an animal lab rats.

Sure if they want to analyze me go ahead, but please post the results in some thread so I can judge their work :)

As others already said guests are essential. Perhaps its possible to filter out the bots although I'm not sure about the technical difficulty of that. Would the need justify the effort? Probably not.

No prob. When they "see" us, they will "become" us (or leave in disgust)! ;D ;)

Well as long as they don't have access to my "personal information" (picture/profile) until they've joined...
