Would a modern advert this graphic be acceptable in this day and age?

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

It obviously was back then (early 1900's I think), and I think still is now in this context, but if redone in a modern context, would probably draw attention and many many complaints. Maybe even from the types of people who would hang this 'historic' image in say, their bathroom.

(Irrelevant info: Last time I visited my parents, they had redecorated the bathroom in a Victorian / Georgian style, and this picture was mounted on one of the walls - and I found it a bit of an odd thing to have up, and it set me pondering).

No, it's a naked child, it would encourage peadophilia and blah blah whatever other stupid reason people complain about.

She's leaving the baby dangerously over a tub full of water where it could drown!

Of course it is...a doll teaching the child how to be an abusive parent! :p

It is funny that in many ways society has become more prudish, while at the same open sexuality among adults has become more acceptable.

The following advertisment is only from 34 years ago. It was plastered on windows in downtown New York City. I doubt it could be done today at all. As you can see, I was even uncomfortable providing the picture without a fair warning. I'm even afraid it may be deleted by mods.

WARNING the following spoiler contains the famous FRONTAL NUDE advertising done by Brooke Sheilds at the AGE OF 10.

Christ that is crazy. That's a photo as well, not even a painting or cartoon. I struggle to see what it is advertising as well. Any idea?

I've seen it maybe twice before. And I don't doubt it could be done today.

I have no idea what it was advertising. It was also in a few magazines. Actually, there was a huge lawsuit over it because someone used it without paying Sheilds years later. Perhaps it was advertising soap?
