I also own the intjcentral.com (http://intjcentral.com/) domain and am going to use it for additional resources and other special projects. So far, I have the manual Doppelbock and other members are working on in this thread (http://intjforum.com/YaBB.pl?num=1192627763/).

I'm curious if there is anything else you guys would like to see on the site and/or are interested in contributing content. INTJ related, of course.

Content ideas only though. I know the site looks boring with the default drupal theme, but I have my hands full with the forum so I probably won't be updating the look for a long time.

Why INTJ Central?
Surely you are not considering continuing a really shit idea such as ***********? Your place is excellent, theirs is oppressive.

It was offered to me and I accepted the domain to prevent someone from using it for another intj forum (to leech off their success), but would like to use it for something instead of just sitting on it. I'm friends with the INTP Central administrator that started the site and have been talking to him since before the creation of ****************. While I'm not very active on that forum, I have no personal issues with them.

then why not simply use it as a redirect? in order to catch intj's who look for a forum by reasoning... "if there's an ***********, is there an intjcentral.com"

Because I want to use it for a resource site. I'm sorry you have personal issues with them. I don't.

No you are not. Why say it? It is a meaningless platitude designed to soften an emotional blow. You're an INTJ and I am an INTP.

My idea had nothing to do with my issues with them, merely given as an idea. What sort of resources are you considering anyway?

My thoughts would be a semi combination of what you two are talking about.

Have intjcentral point to your resource page, but have it link directly to intjforum (The two sites should not be seen as two seperate sites visually)

One example of perhaps what you're looking for that I can think is the following site:
http://www.r31skylineclub.com/ (which seem to be having issues at time of posting :( ) and to a lesser extent
http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/

Both sites main pages display the "News" and have links to a number of different areas (the R31 one being very wiki based for all is content "resources") but the forums consist of the major section of the site.

So, create an INTJ wiki. that would be awesome (I wish INTPs had a wiki :( ) and link it the forums. Have both set up in a similar style. win win

That's stretching it to be a far more ambitious project than what I had in mind. While your suggestion would be ideal, it's way more work than I have time for right now. I've already stretched myself too far over too many projects and too many jobs. Unless someone else wants to redesign the sites to make them match.

I had an unused domain and saw a use for it. Doppelback's handbook is easier to edit, can be made into a more collaborated effort, and has a better url than the geocities page. The site's capabilities can be expanded later if need be. That's all I'm really going for here. I'm offering to let other members add content if they want, but I'm impartial myself. If it's nothing more than a place for the handbook I'm happy with that.

Edit: actually, that's more than I want to deal with right now too. I'll just leave it at "it's functional and good enough for now". Content suggestions are welcome, redesign suggestions most likely won't be considered at the moment.

*********** exists - some of us are from there. Some of us have never been to *****.

I think that's a BRILLIANT idea. Just do it slowly and make the full change when you have the time. It'd be great to have an INTJ wiki.

Get a bunch of helpers!
Just get people to contribute... All you have to do is get some intense INTJ's to help you monitor/edit entries.

+1 here, a wiki makes it easy to contribute to.

It already has wiki capabilities. I just turned guest registration off because I don't want people who aren't members of this forum registering and adding/changing things. If anyone is interested in having access, let me know.

Jez I think it is a fantastic idea. Besides the manual I take it there will be catagorised links to all available resources on the net? I would also like to see some statistical information collaborated from the forum on subjects such as career lists v actual career choices, demographics ...etc etc....

....Ok ambitious ... maybe in the future?

Jezebel, if you make money off of INTJ central, its nice to know we help you contribute. You never know, please share :) But there are something missing there, for all those curious people who like stats and numbers, and who wants detailed compare and contrast descriptions. Its wise to post it with source links on how many INTJ's are out there, as well as other INTJ websites affiliates. They can used it as a place to easily get the information and on the go. I felt finding the information is very time consuming its better to have it all on one site, then more people will head over to your website for sure. Incase, other INTJ websites get upset, tell them I will add them, as a affiliate and use INTJ central as a secondary INTJ homebase. Creating a friendly INTJ atmosphere.

But, as a back up measure this happens on many websites, once one website gets very popular. Then hackers shows up to ruin the fun by jealious websites. So anyone who know how to prevent this and like to contribute that would be great.

Mind .. Jez has not mentioned making money out of this site .. I have not seen any advertising have you?

There are lots of steps that Jez can take to ensure the forum is secure or that it can be easily rectified in the event of any 'problems'.

The making money part is way, way , way , way down the road, like 20 years. Give or take. Don't worry, lol. Plus, I trust Jezebel's ability, just alot of work.

The curiously-telling thing here is that we have some real INTPs that prefer to hang out with us INTJs rather than hang out at an oppressive site run by an oligarchy of tin dictators...

Stick to your original idea and include links to here.

Nope... that was intentional.

"Compleat" is more snobbish than "Complete"
