The other day I had a trigger which inspired me to pick up a paintbrush for the first time in FOURTEEN years!!! Boy did it feel liberating and that was just from the primer LOL!

In any case for the arty folk here, I was wondering has your best work eventuated post some "event" and do you feel that it is positive emotional stimulus or negative emotional stimulus which has ended up producing the better work?

Also do you prefer to work with or without music and what kinds of music do you find most inspiring for your creativity?

Absolutely. I often paint after an event. It's as if the emotion needs to come out in some way or form.

Yes, I like to work with music. It must be instrumental only. I work best with jazz or classical playing. Voices distract me.
