I have seen some articles these days about this study and I thought that I should post it here.

Cool, so that's why my friends don't all know each other; I have actually had complaints about that. The article doesn't explain how they went about the study well--where do the 89,005 non-twin teenagers fit in? Anyone seen a more in-depth article?
Re: the article
I find homogenous friends ie all from one area or group or type incredibly boring and have never been able to do it very long- as if you can honestly really like every single person in a group. Hence why I have one friend from here and one friend from there-typically they don't know each other and are so different they wouldn't get along anyway: I think this caters well to my electic & diverse types.
I also avoid social networking things like Facebook like the plague because I LIKE that all my associates don't know each other. I don't like how when you know someone who knows someone they all gossip to each other about everyone- I like my privacy and I only like to tell certain things to certain people.

I agree with Zen. Also when i try to combine friends, they leave me out cause I'm not as energetic socially.
