Do you think you have charisma? Or have a strong presence in the room you're in, even if you don't say anything?

Given a podium, or speaking platform, yes. It's been commented on many times by my professors. However, in a general social situation, I'm more average.

I feel I don't have much as well. Sometimes I feel that I could be in a store stealing everything and no one would notice me. Donīt know if it has to be with being an INTJ.

I think it has everything to do with being an INTJ. Depending on the proeminence of the Introversion trait...

This trait is the highest for me and that makes me completely erased from everyone. It's incredible. Sometimes I say stuff, there would be no other sound and no one would even hear me. It got frustrating at some point and I just stopped talking unless I'm certain I'll be heard.

Being an INTJ makes me more confident than most. Unlike those worthless dating shows, I don't draw confidence from other people or how am I viewed by others. I am confident in myself through my actions, judgment and abilities from what I have done. Not some make believe garbage or worthless notions of style and class. Most "confident" people fake it or have false anyway. Oh and I say that because most of the time when I push my will or experience they fold. Very few people have ever stood up to me when I did so.

Don't make excuses and label yourself doomed because of a personality type.

Yes. And it can be quite a nuisance, in a lot of ways.

I am well-known in my circles, and lots of people seem to think they have to act a certain way when I'm around. This is nothing I have tried to cultivate; folks just have these notions of how they ought to act when they are around "someone like me". I know they are trying to be nice, but it's usually just weird.

That's enough.

Yes confidence is key, but only to talk about specific subjects or to interveen at a specific moment in a conversation. If people talk about things I have as interests or if they want my opinion on solving an issue, I'll have no problem being the one to talk the most and be quite charismatic!

My point being... most of the time, I feel like it's not my place to say something. It's not that I labeled myself an introverted person, it's basically because I am just that: an introverted person. I will not show much charisma and probably won't say much of a whole evening (unless I'm with select friends.)

Yes, I have them. It can be annoying at times but it's a nice problem to have. It does lead to a lot of weird moments though, with both men and women, elders and children. I've often cultivated a cold aloof manner to deter people from approaching me, but these days I'm trying to be warmer to people so it's a bit more noticeable.

Analyzing a bit, the "presence" part of it must be visual -- I have a striking appearance and a large athletic physique. I also move confidently, gracefully and with good posture -- "regally" as is sometimes commented.

"Charisma" implies interaction with folks, but thanks to years of waiting tables I can really turn that on when I want to. I'm told I have a great voice and I speak really well (all part of the job description, after all), which combined with the "presence" part can really influence people. I actually feel guilty about exerting these "powers" and take great care not to manipulate others.

I've been told I have a strong presence and that I tend to demand attention and respect just by the way I hold myself and interact with people. I never notice myself doing this but usually my friends will point it out to me later on. Usually if I'm trying to be charismatic or get attention it blows up in my face but if I'm just behaving unselfconsciously I'm apparently a pretty intense or intimidating person. I can't help but think it's funny that so many people have told me they find me intimidating considering my stature and appearance, people who've known me the longest always describe me as small and cuddly.

Sometimes I can have a feeling of invisibility. I notice that then when I say something it isn't always heard but whenever it is heard it is noted. I feel in the middle for Charisma and presence but I usually feel like they're on or they're off--nowhere in the middle.

depends on the objective. i can have presence adequate to the task but i don't prefer it otherwise.

Same here. A lot of people tell me I'm a bit intimidating and that's not charisma.

I find that my presence is typically stronger the less I say, which is quite strange.

I am instantly noticed on entering a room, but I can avoid notice easily if I want to be left in peace. I have sufficient charisma to attract more 'friends' than I really want, but my three-metre-radius 'personal bubble of alienation' keeps away those that annoy me.
As a rule, I'm the centre of attention more often than I WANT to be the centre of attention.

I have no charisma, and some presence. Conservative dress, being taller than most, and not talking makes that happen.

IRL I try to be as unnoticeable as possible. Being noticed for good or bad makes me feel uncomfortable period. I tend to be noticed whether I open my mouth or not though... I think a lot of us here probably just have that "different" vibe...which can tantalize curious types...lol myself included.

Ditto - what he said. Except less nice and more obsequious - and it's more than just weird, it's disturbing, off-putting and embarrassing.

I believe I have quite a bit of charisma due to my wit and body language, usually the more reserved type as I don't say much but when I do it tends to be very well said or witty followed by a confident smirk. I don't appear shy or afraid to speak, just more to myself and interesting (so i've been told)

Presence, i'd say I do possess some, not a ridiculous amount but definately enough to gather some attention, I have very strong blue eyes and a heavy scowl, and due to my quiet nature I kind of command respect some how, still haven't figured it out yet.

I have this sort of presence sometimes where when I talk people will listen or pay attention to me, but if I'm not interested in being a part of a group or anything like that I am good at making my presence unknown.

I don't think people treat me like a strong presence unless I speak, and even then it depends on the group. Some people aren't interested in what I have to offer and I might as well be invisible. Others seem to immediately accept me as a leader.

It happens too me so often I've lost count. I still don't understand why. It's not like I'm whispering or something :irked:

Still looking for explanations, but it's all too tempting to give up and retreat inside my head. I don't want to shout at the top of my lungs to be heard.

It depends which side of the bed I get up on.

It totally depends. People either think I'm a freak and avoid me, fear me or somehow think themselves incapable of conversing with me, or really enjoy my zaniness (hurrah for other iNtuitives).

Charisma, no.

Presence, yes. Anyone who's met me remembers who I am, strangers will ask me for help in stores, I can take command of a conversation by force.

I agree with RudyHenkel.

Despite being an introvert, I'm a very good speaker in front of people and I know it, so I tend to have a lot of presence and maybe a spark of charisma in that situation.

However, normally, I meld into the framework and people tend to find me pretty boring, especially since I hang out with a charismatic bunch most of the time. I'm fine with that.

There are periods of time where I have both. People I've met during that time usually say things like, you're the warmest friendliest person I've ever met and you have excellent leadership skills. :suspicious:

And for some reason, a lot of them think I'm taller than I really am. Quite a few were surprised to learn that even with some heels on, I'm still shorter than them.

Charisma= sometimes
Strong Presence= Yes

I can enter into a busy supermarket and grab the attention of most people in that store. I think it has a lot to do with The Intj personality. We are naturally confident people. I also have a deep voice so when I speak in a group you would find that ppl keep quiet and listen when I speak. without any force. So I can be ignored in a group especially when I am focusing on my thoughts but I am never unnoticed.
