Okay, since this thread (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.) was getting a lot of "no"s, didn't expand too much beyond that, here is a new question:

What stereotypically female things *do* you do?

Guys can answer too!

I use face cleanser, toner, and moisturiser. And I use to spend more on my hair each month (hair product/hair styling) than my girlfriend's "E" friends. I mention her friends because my girlfriend's an INTJ too, so it's not that hard to outspend her.

I wear skirts.
I expect men to carry big heavy things for me (if there are men around when the need arises).
I talk with rapid speed with my girlfriends (machine gun speed) about mundane things
I nag ocassionally
and... can't think anything else for the moment.

Wait, we're jumpoing ahead of ourselves.
Feminism is a culturally defined ideal.

For instance, I'm sure both of these woman below would be considered feminine:
For looks and personality:
To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

For cause and idealogy:
To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

And all the ones in between and beyond.
So, in this particular thread, what are we going with? Perhaps it'd better to ask first,
"What is your idea of feminism and do you adhere to it?"
Or, maybe it's an unneccessary question because people's idea of feminism will show through in their answer as to what they do that's feminine.

I wear make up and occasionally skirts. I care about my appearance (although I don't think this is a really 'feminine' thing, since most men care about their appearance too).

I talk with my female (and male) friends about the people we're dating and sex and things like that. Again, I don't think that's 'feminine' though because again, guys do this too.

Oh. And I do like shoes. It's more a matter of being both stylish and prepared with the proper footwear for any situation that comes up, than pointless shoe collecting. I do the same thing with coats.

That's a point I've been wondering about...is it feminine at all to talk about sex to other people, especially men? I have no problems about it at all, in fact lots of conversations I have with guys seem to descend in to views on sex or at least allusions to it. And it's not even in a flirtatious way, it's just that I genuinely don't mind talking about it. Not that I'd ever dissect a particular experience with any of my friends, but that's more of a trust/betrayal issue anyway.

On the original topic, I wear skirts, makeup, love perfume, like it when men do the typical gentleman things, sometimes play on being petite...quite a few things i suppose.

When I want something I bat my eyes, cock my head slightly and smile sweetly as I ask.

I like to look nice and feminine (though other times I want to look masculine and intimidating.) I'll go into rare phases where I'll want to buy every shoe, article of clothing and accessory that looks pretty.

I like to talk about cooking and food with female friends.

I like to dissect and analyze other people's behavior, something I've noticed female NF's in particular like to do.

I prefer sex with males. That seems pretty feminine I think.

And well... that's about all I can think of.

I'm drawing a blank. I don't do all the frivolous things mentioned in the other thread. There is really nothing of consequence that I do that isn't done by both men and woman.

I'm an excellent cook, but most top drawer chefs are men so that's not really feminine. I golf and participate in other sports, but that would usually be considered more masculine, despite the PGA and the fact that lots of women do sports. I like massages, still not really feminine, most guys like that too.

Maybe I'm just having trouble categorizing things into masculine and feminine. I don't think in those terms.

I wear the current trend of fashion (that I agree with).
I like when guys do the typical gentleman things.
I'm considered polite.
I care about my appearance, because you make your first impression by your appearance.

I like perfume.
I wear make up to work.
I wear skirts and high heels to work.
I like men.
I like men to do things for me, like carry heavy objects and be all gentlemanly (it was hard for me to admit to that).

That's about it, I think.

Like, Synamon said, I have hard time categorizing activities as "feminine" or "masculine."
But then I realized the difference.

When I do something, I look good doing it. :gorgeous:

I occasionally wear makeup...
I play sports - oh wait... that's considered masculine isn't it? =P
I play the flute/piccolo (considered a feminine instrument by most!)
I have a lot of skirts, high heels, knee high boots, one-sleeve/sleeveless tops...
I love cooking and baking (cooking is neutral to me, but baking tends to be more feminine in my eyes)
I like fast cars...driving them... (Think it could have been feminine till I added that last part!)
I'm absolutely boy crazy.
I usually have really long nails...

That's all I can think of at the moment. =P

Well, thanks alot whoever started this thread, we've just established that I am a gay guy. Who wants to break the news to my husband?
