Nontraditional Things?

I was just reading Elalyr's intro post and noticed she's not planning a traditional wedding, but a lovely state park ceremony in her most comfy khakis! :D I didn't have a traditional wedding either.

What other nontraditional things have you all done, or are planning to do?

Most non-traditional stuff I've done involves my mode of transportation in one way or another, so;
- I have only owned 2 American cars in 35+ years of owning a car (that's a BIG DEAL in Motown where I live – home of "Buy American")

- My wife and I drove 1800 miles to extreme southern TX for a job interview ('cause I LOVE driving!) 2 days down, 2 days back. PS – I didn't get the job *:(

- I recently drove 600+ miles one way to drive "The Dragon" (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 2 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.), a road in NC. Down on Saturday, back on Sunday, work on Monday.

I've got others, but I don’t want to bore you.
