irc problems?

HI, is the IRC client down? I've tried to enter irc a few times in the last week but I get error messages?

It doesn't work for me if I try to connect through a browser from 'Chatroom' link at the top of the page but everything is fine if I use an irc client like mirc.

i've had it in the past, I also had catninja I think it was? I don't want to get entangled in irc at this point in my life again ta, :) the browser style suits me fine, If I can't get it working it wont' kill me, but it would be nice to get it working.
