I -love- Foamy and have wondered if he isn't INTJ...
Mine is a cropped view of Lord Frederick Leighton's 'Light of the Harem' (c.1880)
I'm mad for the exotic and fairy tale aspects of Leighton's works - so British, yet not. 'Flaming June' is another that I love. I could fill my walls with his stuff if I had the cash and could part with my architectural prints.

The color scheme is that of our National Colors. The total number of dots shown on the dice is 11 and represents the XI U. S. Army Corps. These dice represent the natural gamble taken by all combatants in warfare. The number "11" is the so-called natural winning combination in the game of dice and symbolizes both the natural gamble taken by the XI U.S. Army Corps and the natural winning team it will become.

If the avatar next to this window is a dragon then it is Bartholomew, who I pretended was my pet dragon in the Lion's Den. I turn into this lavender dragon when the curse making me human wears off. Since my original avatar on the forum was Lolita with a lollipop (which I still use), Wapiti kindly photoshopped a yellow lolly into the picture for continuity.

C.A. Rotwang from Fritz Lang's _Metropolis_.
Metropolis is absolutely incredibly seminal in film history. Rotwang is the original mad scientist with the flashy lights et al. in the laboratory. The mad scientist archetype reflects a quintessential desire to separate one's self from and control nature; to violate established order with the hubris of genius.

Mine is HR Geiger. When I first became aware of this painting it was when I was a teenager, right after something really, really bad had happened to me. As a result of that event I was kind of emotionally dead at the time. I identified with this picture because it appears to be a somewhat decomposing severed head hooked up to some machinery which is somehow keeping it alive (at least that's what it looks like to me). For some reason this makes me think that the head in question is all intellect and no emotion (maybe it reminds me of the Borg Queen... maybe it's because it's dead... maybe it's the expression on her face... I'm not sure). I chose it as my avatar because I identified with it so long ago, because INTJs are somewhat all intellect and very little overt emotion so it seemed fitting, and also because it's really, really cool.
So there's a little more about me and my av than you probably wanted to know. :)

A portion of my favorite painting, by my favorite artist Joachim Luetke (it's a rendition of the Last Supper). Not my favorite aspect of the particular piece, but i take what i can get.
Before that was a picture of my ENTJ boyfriend dressed up as a Bloody Dr. Hitler for Halloween. Before that was a photograph of myself taken about 5 years ago. Before that (if my memory serves me) was a photo of Steve McQueen in my favorite movie, The Great Escape. And before that was an oil painting of Ron Paul sold on eBay which i will forever kick myself for not being able to purchase.
And the beat goes on...

Using MS paint I created my current avatar as a quick symbol for my disdain and hatred of the zombiesque, not necessarily to be mistaken with fictional zombies, so much as the figurative. You can't quite see it stretched & miniaturized as an avatar but it's a sword skewering the heart of a really cool looking Z (of course representative of the word zombie, representative of a slain zombie). It's suppose to resemble an hour glass amongst other things (e.g. crossed out caution circle, meaning anti or against). It took a few alterations to give it the Japanese/pagan or runological/calligraphic style it now has. The avatar is suppose to be a symbol for my screen name. Yes, I know it sounds pretentious but I'm really just answering the thread. I know the circle cross is more often suppose to be red but I think it looks better with the focus (Z) being red with the black background in this case, besides I felt the sword needed to be more distinctly metallic, so it's grey.

I'm interested in psychology, specifically social mood. If you study history you might notice how the social mood in society is always changing from positive to negative to positive again in a constant cycle and how they coincide with positive and negative events in history. For example, the rise of Nazism in Germany, the Cultural Revolution in China, and Terrorism today all show signs of a strong negative mood in society.
To me the yin-yang symbolizes the opposing forces of these positive/negative moods and how they are always in a constant cycle of dominating one another.

Mine is just a cropped portrait of Vlad III of Wallachia(southern Romania). I find him to be an interesting guy. While a fairly harsh ruler, most of the stuff he is accused of are from his enemies propaganda. He is actually a national hero in Romania for his efforts at bringing order and justice to the country, and for his defense of Romania against the Ottoman Turks.

Ah, the historical Vlad Dracula (Vlad Dragon's Son or Vlad Devil's Son); some say that he came back to life as the inspiration of plebeian Romanians when they overthrew the Ceaucescu government.
But I digress...next intriguing avatar please.

I take back my previous, now ( would be hypocritical ) explanation. I judge a user by whether or not I significantly dislike or like there avatar i.e. to say in terms of first impression of course, otherwise it's irrelevant.
My current avatar originated from Final Fantasy Eight, people familiar with the game should understand why Squall Leonhart is rather befitting of the site.

I find hamsters exquisitely cute.
Hey folks...
Here's the process...
1) I went to select an Avatar from the selection on site and none of them did it for me.
2) I went on to Google images, tried to upload some kind of comic, couldn't do it.
3) I searched for prominent INTJ's on another forum, found that Sir Isaac Newton was the least repugnent of them.
4) Went back to Google Images, tried to find a decent picture of him, but he's an ugly SOB. On the third viewing page, I found a picture of the toilet that, when clicked on, gave me an article on him.
So there you have it...

About 6 months ago I was really into airsofting. In that picture I'm probably wearing $1500 worth of Bundeswehr(German army) military gear. But I discovered that most are either racist, elitist or love to kill things and talk about it for hours on how it died.
Now when I play I just go out in a gun and mask to CQB arenas.
