Chimerical started this thing a while ago, I'm resetting it in it's original form. I looked around online and found it with the original rules for the game. It's often called the Wolf game. I find that Chimerical's mistake was that he tried to improve it.
Rules are simple in this game.
There are M number of mafia members and D number of Detectives. In order for it to work D must be > M.
Knowing how many of each is not important, you just need to know that there are more detectives than killers.
So it starts off with a conversation. You can remain quiet if you wish, doesn't really matter. The mafia decides who they'll kill. Next time I log in [no more than 3 days after the game is initiated] it'll be announced who dies. I wont tell you if they were a detective or a mafia member. Next round is when the voting starts. Whoever gets majority vote is killed off.
Whomever is dead is free to talk after they die, because there isn't a way of stopping someone from talking after death, and what they have to say wont matter anyway. Because I will neither confirm nor deny anything they say, and for all you know it could be a mafia member trying to tell you to kill another detective. All that happens when you die is you lose your voting privileges and if you're in the mafia you lose the ability to kill.
The game is over when A. All mafia members are voted out or B. the mafia outnumbers the detectives [because there's no way for the detectives to win in that situation].
If you want to play, post your name.
If you're not the first person to post, copy and past that person's post and post your name on it. If you're the third, copy and past the 2nd post and so on. This way all the names will be kept track of and it'll make my life and your life easier.
Failure to copy and past the names and votes will result in your character being eaten by rabbit squirrels with crabs.
